.Russia upset VP, to WESG final

.Russia upset Virtus.pro in the second semi-final of WESG EU & CIS Regional Finals with a 2-0 victory (Mirage 16-4, Overpass 16-10).

.Russia got off to a flying start on Mirage, picking up an early 5-0 lead due to amazing play from Aleksei "⁠ub1que⁠" Polivanov. The next six rounds were split evenly, but then Denis "⁠electroNic⁠" Sharipov wreaked havoc, getting a quad-kill in a key round.

After the half ended at 11-4 in the Russians' favour, the Poles didn't even come close to contesting any of the rounds, as Dmitry "⁠hooch⁠" Bogdanov and company only lost four playes in total over five rounds for 16-4.

electronic's fantastic performance helped .Russia reach the final

Overpass followed and that time around Virtus.pro started off the better, getting six out of the first seven rounds as Counter-Terrorists. On the back of electroNic's entry kills, .Russia began closing the gap and managed to take the half to a close 7-8 scoreline.

VP picked up the following pistol round but couldn't turn it into more, as .Russia took their first lead on the map at 10-9. Winning multiple close situations in a row, electroNic's team was in prime position to advance to the grand final, as they reached map point.

Wiktor "⁠TaZ⁠" Wojtas's squad managed to delay in the next round, but it didn't matter in the end. With a huge quad-kill, electroNic closed out the series at 16-10, 2-0.

in this situation there was not any other way. but teams like navi nip just fuck this shit. Next month - Eleague S2. NiP and NaVi are training for only this tournament at this time. Guess what chance Virtus.Pro have. If they win it, which i really want or just make final, what chance they have on WESG? And then, Major in January? They are going into 3 BIG EVENTS. I bet they will be 3-4 on ELeague, WESG, 5-8 on Major. And NaVi/NiP will win one of this event.

I think vp just gave it up, they want to make russians happy since their org is russian and next event is in moscov. Personally i don't like most of russians but i'm fine with vp loose, russians are so badly damaged by thier therritorial aggression and international restrictions that they deserve to have some win... Please, enlighten me with a knowledge i don't have. So what good reason russia had to attack ukraine ? The fake "reports" of endangerment of russian civilians living in ukraine, or "faschist" goverment of ukraine (lol) ? If anything of it were real you'd see victims of these alleged crimes but you didn't. Let me know then what was the reason so i can understand it and change my mind on the case. Cheers

Okay, i tell you now. Maidan started cuz Ukraine was corrupt as f*ck, and Ukrainian citizens was tired about it. EU and NA starting support this coup, cuz they can make Ukraine pro-west country, and Russia going mad. Eu and Na take easy control of West Ukraine. East Ukraine was PRO-Russian, and even after coup they still PRO-Russians. So, by the referendum 96% votes going to Russia, and Crimea becoms Russian. Maybe you dont know, but in Crimea Russia have the 2nd best navy fleet. So, they easilly blocked Ukrainians army bases. I TOLD YOU, its normal that Russia took Crimea! What happened if Crimea stay in Pro-Eu-NA Ukraine? What happened with 2nd best Russian Navy fleet? So pls, calm down, Russian did everything right, stop this bullshit.

Thanks for explaining, tbh i'm not going mad since i'm not the one throwing insults around. You're right with ukraine going to be pro west, the coup may have been financed by usa or someone else. But still i don't see why would russia not use political actions but rather force ones. I don't see a ukraine as a russias's property so i don't see why would they care about it. West ukraine even though that is populated mostly by people with russian "roots" did not have any reason to be worried since they should have just do their own revolution and separate into 2 countries like chechoslovakia did in 90's. Not surprising and this isnt an upset considering how calm and collected Russia would handle all the teams they played, also knowing they already beat VP earlier anyway, but ya, this should be upsetting for VP themselves especially if they were considered TOP 1 in Thorin's rankings, but anyway, this not over yet, they'll hopefully bounce back in the upcoming events, at least they qualified for main event! But Russia played out of their mind as a too good Tier 1 one team wiping the floor with teams topping the group, beating UA and now VP and whoever else they played that i missed... GL & HF!
