DHW with €10,000 Nordic tournament

A new tournament for Nordic teams has been announced, featuring a grand final at DreamHack Winter and €10,000 in prize money.

Called the Nordic Championship, the tournament follows up on the success of the Swedish esports championship (ESPORTSM) as it pits teams from the Nordic region against each other to find out which country reigns supreme.

The first season of the Nordic Championship will kick off online with the semi-finals and will culminate with the title decider at DreamHack Winter, on November 24, where the two finalists will face off for the grand prize of €6,000.

ENCE will represent Finland in the Nordic Championship

Epsilon and ENCE will be representing Sweden and Finland, respectively, after winning national qualifiers held in the Summer, with the Danish and the Norwegian representatives due to be determined shortly.

Below you can find the prize distribution for the tournament:

Its prolly gonna be Tricked yeah. I would have said Rouge before but they are now only 60% Danish. Heroic and Dignitas aren't 100% Danish either and I doubt Astralis is gonna participate in a tournament that small. As for Norway my guess is that is gonna be Epiphany Bolt. If those were the 4 teams my guess is Epsilon would win.

Rogue always been 60% Danish. All of the teams u mention are considered Danish - they even participate in some of the Danish tourneys, where only 'DK TEAMS' are supposed/able to attend. So in those terms, unless a strict rule says 5 danes - then they can. But i Think almost all teams will focus on main tournament of Dreamhack besides this probably.

I would have liked to have seen two teams from each nation represented instead. It would widen the audience, due to a bigger fanbase, and would all in all just create a more interesting event.
