The series began on Train, where dignitas got out to a quick 3-0 lead on the CT side. When we finally reached the gun rounds, the dynamic of the game changed completely, and little by little fnatic started gaining ground on their opponents and they eventually closed out the half with a narrow 8-7 lead.

dignitas once again came out the livelier of the two sides and won the pistol round, with Emil "⁠Magisk⁠" Reif getting three kills to his name. But they were unable to follow it up as they lost the following anti-eco. That was the start of a fantastic run from fnatic, who would only concede one more round before locking down the map 16-9.

Cobblestone was the map that followed, and here John "⁠wenton⁠" Eriksson picked up a trio of kills in the pistol round to put fnatic in the lead. dignitas replied in the following round, however, thanks to a fast A push and two stunning entry frags from Mathias "⁠MSL⁠" Lauridsen. The rounds fnatic edged out were few and far between as dignitas remained in control until the end of the half to secure an 11-4 lead.

The Danes picked up where they had left off and won the pistol round as CT to put even more pressure on fnatic's shoulders. The Swedish giants still tried to respond in a force buy, only to be shunned by Kristian "⁠k0nfig⁠" Wienecke, who pulled off a ninja defuse with three opponents still alive. That was evidence of the state of disarray fnatic were in, with dignitas quickly hitting 16 rounds to take the series to Mirage.

The final map began with fnatic winning the pistol round and the following anti-ecos to get a 3-0 lead, but dignitas were simply far too hot to handle with guns in their hands as they dominated the first half after that opening period and they limited the Swedes to just five rounds.

The second half was just as rough for fnatic in the beginning, despite winning a force buy after losing the pistol round. The Swedes put together a small run of rounds, but dignitas kept their composure and reached match point with a comfortable 15-8 lead.

Dennis "⁠dennis⁠" Edman single-handedly put fnatic back in the game with a 1vs3 clutch, with the Swedish team picking up several rounds in a row to reduce the deficit to 13-15. dignitas called a timeout in an effort to discuss their strategy for the final rounds, a move that paid off as they finally got their 16th round on the board with a tec9 push, hammering the final nail into fnatic's coffin.
