NiP to Pro League semis over NV

The series began on Nuke, NiP's map pick, and the Swedish side came out with fire in their bellies as they stormed to an impressive 11-0 lead, fuelled by some amazing actions from their players, including an ace by Christopher "⁠GeT_RiGhT⁠" Alesund in the seventh round.

It was only then that EnVyUs' offense finally came to life, but the French team only managed to get two rounds on the board before the end of the half.

NiP piled more misery on EnVyUs' men by winning the pistol round as Terrorist, with Richard "⁠Xizt⁠" Landström getting three kills in a 2vs3 situation. EnVyUs hit back right after and then put together a small run of rounds, but an upset was not in the cards as NiP won two in a row to lock down the map, 16-9.

GeT_RiGhT turned in a great display on Nuke 

Map #2, Dust2, followed the same pattern as the first, with NiP getting off to a great start. Every time that EnVyUs won a round, NiP hit back in the following round, frustrating their opponents and keeping their economy in check. 

With NiP firing on all cilinders and winning every close round, the scoreline bloomed to an 11-2 advantage for them, but then EnVyUs picked up the final two rounds of the half to give themselves a fighting chance. 

The second half began with EnVyUs winning the pistol round with a flawless A execute then following it up with both anti-ecos. NiP won the first gun round with a great A retake, but then they collapsed as they had no response to the Frenchmen's pace.

The ninjas are through to the last-four stage 

EnVyUs would cut the deficit to just two rounds at 10-12, but then NiP tightened their defense and won three of the next five rounds to hit map point. The French team were determined to prove that they would not go down without a fight, however, as they took the last three rounds to force overtime.

The ninjas were simply far too hot for EnVyUs to handle after regulation, winning two rounds in each half to take the map 19-17 and progress to the semi-finals in São Paulo.
