Heroic shock G2, top group in Montreal

Heroic defeated G2 16-14 on Nuke to take the first place in their group at Northern Arena.

HEROIC managed to recover from a 3v5 situation in the pistol round to win it with Marco "⁠Snappi⁠" Pfeiffer's 3K, but the sloppy defense of the A site in the subsequent one allowed G2 to equalize the score with a second-round force-buy.

3-1 down and very limited in their buy, HEROIC managed to get a round on the lower site thanks to Michael "⁠Friis⁠" Jørgensen's 1v2 that kick-started their comeback in the match.

The 27-year-old continued to be influential with the AWP, controlling the yard and forcing G2 to attack A - which ended up yielding them the fourth round at 6-4.

HEROIC continued assert their dominance in the outside part of the map in the following rounds, adding some aggression from Valdemar "⁠valde⁠" Bjørn Vangså to the mix and getting to 9-4, but another pistol buy rush - this time on ramp - got G2 the fifth round of the half before they ended it 9-6.

Friis had a dominant performance on Nuke

Friis showed up again in the pistol round, clutching a 1v3 to set up his team for a good start. HEROIC lost the first gun round, won the following one but then lost to a pistol buy once again - resetting their economy and allowing G2 to creep back to 13-10.

Richard "⁠shox⁠" Papillon wasn't able to clutch a 1v2 in the following round, but he atoned himself at 14-13 by taking out Friis in a 1v1 to tie the score.

The veteran AWPer came up huge once again, clutching a 1v2 on the lower site to take it to match point before HEROIC closed it out with an A site rush.

in 2014 there was a interview with shox where he said ppl were bullying him in school but smithzz (edouard) always defended him and he said if he is not there then he most likely commits suicide so thats why he is always with him

2014...People change. I doubt shox would put in risk his professional career and his team performance over a friendship. Don't ever mix them both Plus, it not always up to the players. Orgs have a big a say in it. If the Spanish owner (I forgot his name) keep seeing bad results, most likely himself will take an atitude towards changes in the lineup and whatever it takes to the team get back on track... afterall it's a business. People are greedy

Great game from Friis, just looking at the scoreboard you would think G2 won

Hmmm... nothing shocking here, G2's form is the same as Heroic's now, this was a 50-50 match since the beginning, G2 aint a better team NOW, were before, but not fro now, has more experience, yes, but with how they've been recently playing, Heroic had all the chances in the world to win this and so they did which isnt a surprise at all.
