Splyce release DAVEY and Machinegun

Splyce have just informed that they have released both David “DAVEY” Stafford and Enkhtaivan “Machinegun” Lkhagva from their roster.

After failing to make it through several qualifiers such as the ELEAGUE Season 2 qualifier or the Americas Minor qualifier, Splyce has parted ways with two of its players.

While it had been rumoured that David "⁠DAVEY⁠" Stafford already had a foot out of the door after not playing The Americas Minor qualifier with the team, Splyce have now officialy confirmed that the Canadian player will be free to court teams in hopes of finding a new home.

Meanwhile, Enkhtaivan "⁠Machinegun⁠" Lkhagva has also been released from the team due to the language barrier being too big of a challenge for the team to overcome, and where he will land next is yet to be seen.

The team's statement:

DAVEY was an integral part of the growth of CS:GO at Splyce. His expertise, hard work and dedication were part of what brought us to the MLG Columbus Major and will continue to serve him on whichever future team he joins.

Machinegun is an incredibly hard worker and an amazing player, but the language barriers were too great a challenge amidst the other difficulties of building a brand new team. He has the potential to be a top talent in the CS:GO scene with the right home.

We thank both players for their time and wish them the best in all their future endeavors.

With these news, the Splyce roster is as follows:

Asger "⁠AcilioN⁠" Larsen
Joey "⁠CRUC1AL⁠" Steusel

It is sad to see Machinegun returns back to his home, he has potential to become top player but this shows again language barrier limits team and individual performance so much.

That was against tier 3-4 teams. The few times he actually played tier 1-2 teams in Mongolz he performed like shit almost every time just as he did in Splyce. Sad to see him go because he is an interesting player but he just doesn't have what it takes yet to go toe-to-toe with even tier 2 NA

Look at his stats against tyloo, cyberzen and renegades. Those teams have played outside the asian scene and i would consider t2. His average against them would be in the 1.2's. Its clear he is a good player but the situation in splyce was just to hard to overcome and his game took a massive nosedive.

Well yeah if you nitpick his best matches against tier 2 teams ofc his stats are gonna look good lol. CyberZen is borderline t3 and Renegades are also on the lower end of t2 at best. If you also take into account his matches against teams like mousesports, NiP, Luminosity (SK), fnatic and Na'Vi, his average is about 0.92, which is below average imo. Against t1 opposition, he wasn't even the best in TheMongolz. If he really was a strong player, you'd see him put up better numbers than he did in Splyce even with language barrier, but his rating for the last 3 months has been 0.85 which is kinda shit tbh.

Im not nitpicking anything. Mongolz were T2 at best, having a quick look at their results they got smashed everytime they played a T1 team (16-4's, 16-5's). So we can see none of them are T1 players and Mongolz are clearly not a T1 team so its pointless to see who has a better rating when they are only getting 4 or 5 rounds a game. But if you compare them to the T2 teams they played (CyberZen, Renegades, Tyloo) which is more in line with their skill level, you can actually see him playing well and being competitive with that skill group. I mean just look at when hes on Splyce playing teams like eUnited and winterfox. Much worse teams than any of the top Australasian teams he was playing against in Mongolz and hes getting like 0.70 ratings against T3-T4 teams. Thats a massive drop in performance. That tells me something is wrong and you dont need to be a genius to figure out what.

They won "a LAN" for 7k$ + 10k worth of stuff (laptops + other things) with teams like Kinguin (which lost to CyberZen) and really weak asian teams. Splyce played the first round (some teams had a bye, i think it was a 6 teams tourney) vs a weak team, second round vs another weak team and then the final vs CyberZen.

Of course this is unlikely but ... I'm 15 years old. I play CS for over 8 years. I participate in tournaments in my city of Voronezh. Each tournament for me is fun. I would like to play at the professional level, but have no idea how to get into it. I think that this is my chance to realize my abilities and show everyone that I am not an ordinary high school student who plays in the game. :D
