fnatic & dig to group D winners match
The first round of ELEAGUE group D matches is behind us, we saw fnatic edging out OpTic (19-17 on Cache) and dignitas taking down EnVyUs (16-12 on Coblestone) to move on to the winners match.
The Dennis "dennis" Edman-less fnatic had a strong start to their match against OpTic, stringing together the first five rounds on the Terrorist side of Cache. After OpTic's economy recovered from their risky early buys, the North American side managed to tie up the score before ending the half 8-7.

With dennis absent, KrimZ was the one to step up
Coming into the second half, OpTic won the pistol, but were unable to build momentum as Simon "twist" Eliasson clutched the second round force-buy for his team. The round came down to a 1v1 between him and Oscar "mixwell" Cañellas, with the Spanish star-player having a rare off moment that allowed fnatic to bounce back and take the lead.
The Swedes were in control for the whole second half, but couldn't close it out in regulation. Tarik "tarik" Celik and co. took the lead in the added rounds and looked good to pull it back, but Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson clutched a crucial 1v2 on the A site helping fnatic to close out the match 19-17.

In the second match of ELEAGUE Group D, Dignitas took on Envy on Cobblestone. The early part of the match went the way of the Danes—Ruben "RUBINO" Villarroel was leading the way for his team, harassing the B site defense of Envy.
7-1 down, Envy's comeback started with Kenny "kennyS" Schrub getting an opening kill with the AWP. We saw a small streak of rounds from the Frenchmen before Dignitas secured the last round of the half to make it 9-6.

RUBINO had another impressive Cobblestone performance
Envy were on the brink of tieing the match up in round 22, but despite their weak economy, RUBINO and Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen stopped the B site offensive with Mag-7's to make it 12-10.
Vincent "Happy" Schopenhauer's team pulled back the following round and broke the CT's economy, still, they weren't able to close it out as we saw Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke and René "cajunb" Borg combining for four kills on a round turned the match in favor of the Danish team, who made it 16-12 in the end.
