FaZe claim win over OpTic
FaZe takes revenge on OpTic by beating them 16-11 on Overpass, as Day 2 of the ELEAGUE Major Qualifier has come to an end.
The battle on Overpass kicked off with a bang as a crazy pistol round came down to a duel for the ace between Oscar "mixwell" Cañellas and Philip "aizy" Aistrup, the Dane ultimately defending the bomb plant with a salvaged USP and spurring FaZe onto to a comfortable 5-0 lead on T-side, clinically cleaning out the sites, bar a much too close 1v1 against a full eco in the 4th round.
The European mixture have had a bad record head-to-head with OpTic in recent events and they were determined to change that by draining the North American's hope as early as possible, Finn "karrigan" Andersen again saving a hairy anti-eco in the 8th round.
Luckily for the Green Wall, Keith "NAF" Markovic then decided to wake up in a big way by first defending the A-site by himself with a quad AWP kill and got two crucial opening picks in the next. FaZe swiftly replied with another round to put the pressure back on OpTic, but William "RUSH" Wierzba was then the one to answer the call of duty, stopping a B-push with a FAMAS 3K and lowered the deficit to a 3-9 scoreline.
Just when they needed the feel-good moment the most before half-time, it was then Tarik "tarik" Celik that pulled of a most unlikely 1v4 defuse and took three kills with a Tec9, now 6-9 for OpTic.

karrigan made the difference in more than one way for FaZe
That spurred on a flawless glock train round for the North American side to equalize the score, and most fortunately for OpTic they could put FaZe on eco again after a close 4v2 that they almost threw away, but mixwell this time was the hero of the day.
Little did that matter in the economic scheme though as Håvard "rain" Nygaard and company had the rounds go down to last man standing scenarios, karrigan then having the perfect read on their 5-7 buy to backstab the B-push with a triple for himself in the 23th round to make it 11-11.
The most absurd exchanges continued, but Fabien "kioShiMa" Fiey and co. seemed to have just the slight edge in the reads of their opponent and the fastest rising rivalry ended with FaZe closing out the map 16-11.
