EnVyUs to Major over Vega Squadron

The match began with EnVyUs winning the pistol round and then following that up with two anti-eco rounds to start off the game with a 3-0 lead. The first full gun round also went EnVyUs' way, thanks to a trio of kills from Christophe "⁠SIXER⁠" Xia during an A retake, but then Vega Squadron displayed the same level of team play from the NiP match as they won back-to-back rounds with some well-timed pushes.

EnVyUs replied with Desert Eagles and went on a great run, taking their lead to 7-2. But Vega Squadron were far too hot to handle during the final stages of the half, picking up six rounds in a row to secure a narrow 8-7 lead.

The second half began with EnVyUs successfully executing a catwalk push, with Nathan "⁠NBK-⁠" Schmitt getting four kills to his name. EnVyUs also took four of the next five rounds to build a solid 12-9 lead, but Vega Squadron rallied back, thanks to Dmytro "⁠jR⁠" Chervak's AWPing skills and Nikolay "⁠mir⁠" Bityukov's fragging power.

With Vega Squadron threatening to equalise the score, Dan "⁠apEX⁠" Madesclaire won an all-important round for EnVyUs with three kills in A. That ended up being the turning point in the match, as the Frenchmen also won the next two rounds to hit match point. The Russians still put up a fight and took a round, only to collapse against an eco rush from EnVyUs.
