kassad joins Renegades

Renegades have replaced coach Nicholas "Peekay" Wise with Aleksandar "kassad" Trifunović, the organization has announced.

Having helped Renegades reach second place at two Minor championships and most recently DreamHack ZOWIE Open Winter, Nicholas "⁠Peekay⁠" Wise is leaving the coaching position after more than eight months.

kassad will move to North America to coach Renegades

While the organization is in the process of finding a new position for the former coach, Renegades brought in Aleksandar "⁠kassad⁠" Trifunović, who had been a free agent since mid-September when he parted ways with MOUZ.

"I'm proud to be a part of such a great and healthy organization. We all know how much potential this team has and that's one of the reasons why I feel so motivated, energized, and ready to work with them. Coaching in North America is going to be a new challenge, but I know with hard work we can reach our goals." kassad said in a statement.

"Kassad brings extensive experience as a former IGL and coach. We at Renegades believe he will support the players in continuing to grow as Kassad brings a different perspective from a formerly all Australian management, coaching and player group." Renegades' co-owner, James "Jame^s" O'Connor, added.

Renegades have less than two weeks to prepare for the DreamHack Masters Las Vegas North American qualifiers, set to take place from January 14-15.

Do they tho? Mouz seemed to improve when he joined but they got back down pretty quickly. He should be a good coach in theory, his knowledge is undeniable.. but his coaching doesn't seem to work for some reason. Maybe both parties have what the other one have been missing and they actually work together.

this is a great pickup for renegades, i think fresh and unique ideas based around new play styles they aren't familiar with will awaken and expand their game, hopefully he can introduce whats necessary to allow them to compete at their best.

coach is useful when he told you the strats, anti strats etc. but in the real game, coach is useless because cs is a fast pace game and its not gonna help you if coach tell you "you should move here etc" because its too hard to process because its fast pace game
