SK & Astralis invited to IEM Katowice

Astralis and SK Gaming are the latest two teams to be invited to the IEM World Championship, ESL has revealed.

The Danish team and the defending Major champions, respectively the world No 1 and 3 based on our ranking, bring the list of participants up to four, after Virtus.pro and Ninjas in Pyjamas received the first two invites.

Four more teams will be invited by ESL in the coming weeks, with the last four spots being determined by online qualifiers, held in Europe and North America.

Astralis join IEM Katowice team list together with SK

IEM Katowice 2017 will run from March 1-5, with the playoffs being held at the iconic Spodek Arena, where the winner will take home the lion's share of a $250,000 prize pool.

The list of participants for the event now look as follows:

for cs considering the fact nowadays within the last 5 months this would be the lowest prizepool for an event where most top teams attended then yes. Since Malmo last year this is the smallest prize pool to have most the top teams attend.
