North eliminate HR in Atlanta

North knocked HellRaisers out from the ELEAGUE Major after beating them 19-15 on Mirage.

The first elimination match in Atlanta, Georgia, USA featured North and HellRaisers. The map was Mirage and HellRaisers started on the CT-side.

North won the pistol round and the anti-ecos to kick things off. The Danes also secured the first weapon round where Ruben "RUBINO" Villarroel got two opening kills and Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen knifed Vladyslav "bondik" Nechyporchuk. Later, HellRaisers started winning some rounds under Martin "STYKO" Styk's leadership and Kyrylo "ANGE1" Karasiow's triple kill tied the game at 5-5.

North survive

The streak of HellRaisers ended on seven and North turned it around towards the end of the half to have a 8-7 advantage. HellRaisers started their T-side campaign by winning the pistol round and they won the anti-eco despite losing four players. North had a force-buy in the third round as well but STYKO opened up the A-site with two opening kills, extending his team's lead to 10-8.

HellRaisers were leading 11-8 when they lost a 4vs2 to MSL and René "cajunb" Borg. Emil "Magisk" Reif clutched a 1vs1 to get his team their tenth round (11-10). A 2vs3 win by MSL and cajunb tied the game at 11-11.

After North took the lead and made it 13-11, Patrik "Zero" Žúdel clutched a 1vs2. Although HellRaisers tied the game, North's defense on the A-site earned them their fourteenth round.

HellRaisers won two rounds in a row where Zero picked up entry kills but RUBINO's quad-kill in the thirtieth round took the match to overtime.

North successfully defended the B-site in the first round of overtime and defused the bomb in the second round. After finishing the first half 18-15 in the lead, North won the match 19-15, eliminating HellRaisers from the Major.

The tilt was there on first elimination match of the major, back and forth both sides made amazing mistakes meanwhile its fun to watch but for players its absolutely rollercoaster for feelings. This is good example for never underestimate your enemy on matches like this specially on majors. In the end HellRaisers sent to packing their luggage for going back to home but for the North major just started yet, lets see if they are able to continue catch their dreams for going to playoffs but it looks like they will have tough times.

I expected HR to lose , they lost both previous matches and this is the third. Good job done by Magisk . Good luck to them in the next matches.

Sad for HR, at times it seemed they played better. North dodged a bullet...for now, but I don't see them advancing to the playoffs, sloppy plays.

I think they played better really but North hd the aim/frags in OT to win it. HR had more interesting tacs and fakes etc, they were just genuinely exciting to watch.

Huge disappointment overall from HR, they looked so promising getting here, their gameplan and teamwork are really good. Nevertheless, HR threw away so many advantageous situations simply by tunnel visioning CT and ignoring connector / jungle. Sad to see them defeating themselves. North gets a lucky break but playing like this they'll go home soon.

THE best game I've seen at this major so far. Maybe because someone knew they were going out but it was fucking tense every single round and HR gave it everything and actually played solid CS. Back and forth, loads of clutches, really enjoyable to watch.

I agree, match had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Disappointing results for HR, but there is a good chance of qualifying again next year.

I'd like to see them back, Deadfox hasn't impressed me much but Ange1 is still a beastly player and ZeRo/STYKO especially both have moments of brilliance.

Problem is DeadFox is the one who carried them though the qualifiers. I'm not sure what, if any, changes could be made to the team based on language and location, but HR is a team I will continue to support.

I took HR for 0-3 in my pick em, I usually was hesitant or had to think about my picks but the 0-3 I did immediately I saw the conditions and immediately bought an HR sticker to put in the 0-3 spot. Just take one look at that lineup possibility one of the worst lineups that's ever played in a major, all tier 2 players, no one stands out they're all bad. The thing that sealed the pick for me was the fact HR was hyping this shit team even though they haven't played a single good team on LAN yet.
