Astralis defeat G2, go 2-1

Astralis recorded a dominant win over G2 on Train(16-5) to go 2-1 and are now one win away from the ELEAGUE Major playoffs.

Richard "shox" Papillon played a crucial role in G2 picking up the pistol as he pushed ivy to gain information and allowed his team to stack the B bombsite, but Astralis replied with a force buy win straight away, and took the early lead.

G2 won their second Counter Terrorist round by shox picking up a quad kill on the A site, but were left in tatters as Astralis clutched a 3v5 on A and a 2v4 on B to make it 7-2 for the Danes.

Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander was the main man for Astralis and he proved that again in the 12th round when he managed to clutch a 1v2 from a very unlikely situation - after grabbing the bomb on T spawn with 17 seconds to go and with low HP.

Alexandre "bodyy" Pianaro stopped Astralis' B site push two times in the row to get G2 to four rounds, but the Frenchmen were unable to close out another advantageous situation in the last round, finishing the half 11-4 down.

gla1ve secured Astralis a lot of key rounds

After winning the Counter-Terrorist pistol round and shutting out G2 on the first buy round, Astralis quickly closed out the match with a 16-5 scoreline.

G2 surely had some balls to not ban train against Astralis and that resulted such loss and to be honest they deserved losing if you can't clutch such rounds on a major, you should lose and go back home. Shuffle is only thing can save french scene as I said rather than having 2 mediocre teams on top level, they should have 1 good team, soon we will get it but real question is will they able to succeed? On the other side, should Astralis start hyping for playoffs or will we see another surprising loses from them?

Nah, they need 1 more match to go through or 1 to lose in the case of g2 (They still can win 2 in a row and continue)

smithz's is on his usual level, but scream is completely out of this tournament. He took the shuffle stuff to heart. Glaive had the game of a life time, so..much..impact...
