FaZe edge out Liquid in OT

FaZe now hold a 2-1 record at the ELEAGUE after beating Team Liquid 22-18 on Nuke.

Liquid started the match with fire in their bellies, storming to a 7-0 lead as FaZe had no response to the North American's pace. However, much to everyone's surprise the half ended in a close 8-7 scoreline as the European side crawled their way back and bagged eight rounds without response.

FaZe held on to their lead and won the pistol round as Terrorist, but Liquid hit back right after and put together a run of rounds to retake the lead in the game. FaZe then won a few rounds of their own, with their streak coming to an end thanks to a quad kill from Jacob "⁠Pimp⁠" Winneche.

That round win propelled Liquid to reach match point, but somehow FaZe found the strength to get back into the game as they won the final two rounds to force overtime.

The first overtime could not decide a winner as both teams took two rounds on the CT side. In the second overtime, FaZe won three rounds straight as CT before sealing the deal with a well executed ramp push.

Grats to FaZe for making comeback on such game. It was one of tense games of the major so far to the end but a fantastic one, thanks to both teams for such a game they served us to watch. I was so curious will this match go to overtime too, since both teams managed to play overtime on their respective matches with nV and SK.

Liquid won 7 rounds in a row of the first half, and then they lost 8 rounds in a row. Faze managed to win the last 2 rounds of the second half to tie the game. Good performance by rain but he kept dying in the overtime. Gz to rain and his team and good luck in the next matches. Expected faze to win this in a much easier fashion. But still, sweet comeback after such a terrible start tho. Finally liquid pulls a team performance, still aizy and kio said NOP to their efforts time and time again.

Liquid the Ultimate Chokers. Was nice to watch the Battle of the chokes but the NA choke was stronger. FaZe overhyped tho.

Faze didnt choke the entire match.... Just at the start 0-7 > 8-7 and the most important antieco round 13-12... They went 13-15 after pimps ak hold on a site.

great match!! allu was performing bad the beginning of the game and throughout the match had some difficulties hitting shots. looked shaky. in the end finished with KD 30-22 and rating 1.17
