SK add felps, fnx joins Immortals

SK have officially added Joao "felps" Vasconcellos, who completed the roster that had been playing with a stand-in for the past two months. Lincoln "fnx" Lau has joined Immortals in felps' stead.

João "⁠felps⁠" Vasconcellos had been heavily linked with the SK move ever since the organization removed Lincoln "⁠fnx⁠" Lau from the starting roster following internal issues in early December.

In the two past two months, SK fielded stand-in Ricardo "⁠fox⁠" Pacheco, who helped the team reach semi-finals at ECS Season 2 Finals and at the ELEAGUE Major.

Today, the organization formally announced the signing of felps, who supported the Brazilians at the Major, while fnx was transferred over to Immortals.

According to the release, felps has already joined the team at their gaming house in California to begin training for DreamHack Masters Las Vegas taking place from February 15-19, where SK will debut with the new squad.

Fernando "⁠fer⁠" Alvarenga
Marcelo "⁠coldzera⁠" David
Epitacio "⁠TACO⁠" de Melo

Maybe not aim-wise, but he has the best teamwork. He's the one who throws the grenades for the team. His pop flashes with coldzera are top notch and one of the big factors for Cold to have insane frags. Of course, if we only count for aim and frags, Hen1, Boltz and Fnx could be better, but still Taco makes some crazy clutches from time to time.

he underperformed, as did the whole team, because they were out of their roles/positions. They were out of their confort zone. That shouldn't happen once the stand in is gone and felps came to fill fnx roles.

Good move for both teams. Felps is an incredibly young, skilled player who is only going to get better. His fast-paced, entry style will alleviate a lot of pressure off of TACO and I can see the 1-2 punch between them being extremely powerful. FNX to Immortals is also a great move because fnx still has a couple more years of T1 play and his experience hopefully will have a positive impact on the team.
