MVP expands; Project change fifth

Team MVP has revealed they have expanded their CS:GO division by signing their third roster, an Academy team accompanied by another roster change in their premier squad as the Project lineup swap out Ho-Kyeong “timon” Ahn for Soo-Young “kAyle” Jung.

Ever since bringing in Ho-Kyeong "timon" Ahn after Hyung-Ju "Sound" Nam's departure due to serving the army a few months ago, MVP Project attended one international event of four teams with timon, in mid-December known as China Top 2016, which Fnatic Academy won and took home $72k cash.

HLTV.org has learned that timon has been transfered to the organisation's new Academy lineup made up of other young players with potential that were involved in MVP's two week recruiting campaign. This is due to his inexperience and needs more time to train. The roster will take part in the upcoming Korean VSL CS:GO League.

kAyle is an up-and-coming prospect in the Korean CS scene

Slotting into his spot is 16-year-old Soo-Yong "kAyle" Jung. Our records show he was a former player of another Korean team called autocracy, who lost to MVP Project (with Sound) in the grand final of VSL Season 1 last year in August.

With immediate effect, the teenager has moved into the MVP training house. You can catch him in action at the StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 3 China qualifier, taking place from February 21-28.

Chief Business Officer and General Manager of Team MVP, Can Yang had some words to say on their new CS:GO division:

"One of our philosophies at MVP is to find and refine gamers with potential to become world-class competitors. After our recruiting campaign, we noticed these young gamers showing a lot of promise, so we created MVP Academy to help with their dreams to become professionals."

Former 3D member and current coach of MVP Project, Ronald "Rambo" Kim gave HLTV.org his statement:

"Our CS:GO general manager, Can Yang, wanted to see what other talents were available in Korea, so we launched a recruiting campaign to invite the best available CS:GO players to try out in-person at the MVP house. After a 2 week process, we all decided kAyle would be the best fit. Even though he’s young in age, he plays and makes decisions like a veteran. We’re excited to have him on our roster."

MVP Academy’s roster looks as followed:

Korea Ho-Kyeong "timon" Ahn
Korea Jae-Hyuk "Huby" Im
Korea Jin-Hyung "CoSa" Kim
Korea Su-Hyeon "terra" Cho
Korea Kee-Suk "sucke" Kim

MVP Project lineup now consists of:

Korea Hyun-Pyo "XigN" Lee
Korea Hae-Sung "HSK" Kim
Korea Jung-Hyeon "rindA" Jeon
Korea Soon-Woo "Argency" Kwon
Korea Soo-Yong "kAyle" Jung

United States Ronald "Rambo" Kim (coach)

They had forgotten there is game called Broodwar aka The greatest fucking PC game ever but they seem to be starting to remember recently. And also, I can always hope for Korean corporate sponsorship in CS, it would propel the quality of teams beyond imagination, with their sick work ethic.

Stop! Even with their work ethic it would take them years! Not only would it take them 2~ years to make this lineup decent, but also to make a few more Korean lineups decent in order for them to have decent practice. "it would propel the quality beyond imagination" is a flat out debunked lie.

You clearly have no idea how this things work when Korean teams are involved. Let's say BW was Korean dominated from the start and foreigners had 0 chance although Elky and Grrr and Rekrul were playing in the pro leagues and winning regularly. Let's say that. Go to SC2. It has never been restricted in any way, the Korean teams switched later to it, the foreigners had a severe head start, a huge difference in skill. In like a couple of months the old Broodwar players were killing most of the foreigners and in 6 months they were dominating to a point where it was unusual for foreigners to win a bo3. It will be the same for CSGO, I am certain.

Well, in CSGO it doesn't work like that, because CSGO requires TALENT. And just to clarify, in CSGO, it already HASN'T WORKED, if you take into account that MVP project have been signed by a big org and have been working with the same work ethic you are talking about for over a year and a half and you can still see there is no progress. So you can say that MVP P have literally debunked your statement. A team in CSGO can't be successful just from hardcore practice.

Boxer, Nada, iloveoov, xellos, reach, anytime, daezang, nal_ra, kingdom, july, Best, Light, Hwasin, savior (yes, even that scum is included), Flash, Jaedong, bisu, Stork, Jangbi, Sea, Last - if you actually think those guys don't have talent and have just put in the hours, I have nothing to add. MVP is not actually a huge organization like KT and Samgung or SKT. I have not seen how the MVP guys practice now. I know how it was in Samsung around the last two bw OSLs, like 14 hours a day and then some more if a player felt like it. With coaches, prepared meals, workouts, psychologists. And the results were there as well. There is no doubt in my mind that if at all CSGO becomes popular in South Korea, the game will be dominated by Korean teams in a matter of months. Like all the other competitive games that have been popular there since 1998 - BW, SC2 and LOL. Not because Koreans have some natural know how in gaming. Just because the orgs have the experience to run professional teams in the most efficient way possible. And also, fuck that shit called talent. Flash, the greatest gamer in gaming history, he never stated he got talent, he just played and played and put in the work and hours and became known as The ultimate weapon and also God. It's the same in poker, when you look at the tournament winners and top 50, there are names that are always there. What do you think? That those people are more talented and are somehow dealt better cards for decades or that they are working hard to hone their skills?

MVP is one of the biggest orgs in Korea and it's a child org of Samsung. So much for that entire paragraph. It's been confirmed that those CSGO players have been having those extreme workout sessions AND THERE ARE STILL NO RESULTS. Practice is meaningless when it's done with nobody opposing you. Incase you haven't noticed, in all those games you mentioned Koreans did not dominate the scene because they had a lot of practice, it's because they had competition to practice against (unlike the Euros in those games). It's the same for CSGO, we have the best competition here in Europe and practice becomes 10 times more effective. For that to happen in Korea, they would have to develope an entire scene with a lot of tier1/2 teams. And right now, they are having trouble putting up a tier4 team. The scene is lightyears behind and even if the game became popular in Korea, it would take them atleast 3 years before they could reach NA's level.. Let alone Europe..

"MVP is one of the biggest orgs in Korea and it's a child org of Samsung. So much for that entire paragraph." yeah there goes his comment about how big of a company that mvp is, even though you had no source to back yourself up, and even though the result of this argument has nothing to do with anytihng. the question that has any relevance is how much money gets allocated to the success of the players in mvp.P "It's been confirmed that those CSGO players have been having those extreme workout sessions AND THERE ARE STILL NO RESULTS." thats great, whats the source? "Practice is meaningless when it's done with nobody opposing you. Incase you haven't noticed, in all those games you mentioned Koreans did not dominate the scene because they had a lot of practice, it's because they had competition to practice against (unlike the Euros in those games)." no its not meaningless. its less effective to some X percent. which is why its negative to the effeciency of the practice that mvp.P is doing. it would help your case if it were as little amount of detracting as possible. they dominated because they practiced by far the most, and by far the most effeciently. the europeans in those games had the same quality opponenents to practice against.

No they didn't Euros were all bad and they would somehow have to get all good together? They were behind the meta and they were behind in skill. Incase you haven't noticed, it's impossible to become better if you are always practicing against weak opponents. You really just becpme better than those weak opponents. Same was in SC for Europeans. Same is in CSGO for Non-europeans. It's like comparing somebody who beats Gold Novas for 12 hours a day Vs somebody who beats globals 8 hours a day. Obviously the one who beats globals is 10x better than the other guy. Why the fuck do I even need to explain this to you? Are you mentally disabled?

yes they were all grabage and couldnt compete cause they didnt have the work ethic. just like any western professional player in esports history. which is why they are all in another dimension from any pro player that was ever on a proffessional starcraft1 team. Incase you haven't noticed, it's impossible to become better if you are always practicing against weak opponents. it doesnt work like what? because sc1 is a magical game that works in other ways than cs, apparently. seems strange when sc1 has every aspect of cs and then more. when compared to sc1 proffesionals, every other esport there has been is a complete fraud "And just to clarify, in CSGO, it already HASN'T WORKED, if you take into account that MVP project have been signed by a big org and have been working with the same work ethic you are talking about for over a year and a half and you can still see there is no progress." source for anything? "So you can say that MVP P have literally debunked your statement." random washed up old koreans decide to play cs for an unknown amount of time and... whta? "A team in CSGO can't be successful just from hardcore practice." yes thats right because any sport in history has ever worked like this. thats right because your cs game has magical properties that makes it a special snowflake that works in magical ways

Omg why are we even arguing you fucking clueless newfag. >MVP P >random washed up old koreans Stfu. You clearly know shit, I was talking about MVP project and not MVP PK. They are two different teams, if you can't distinguish those fucking two I'm afraid you are uneligible to be speaking about the Korean CSGO scenes.. Comeback when you have watched CS for more than 2 weeks. Also, what sort of sources do you need to be given so that I can prove to you that a team that was picked up by one of the most serious Korean orgs is actually practicing? Do I need to have an interview with hsk? Isn't it fucking obvious that they are put in practice schedules? Or are you so clueless that you didn't even realise that MVP is a huge org? Please stop embarassing yourself. And yes, a team can't be good just from hardcore practice, just check what I said in #96 ffs.

"Omg why are we even arguing you fucking clueless newfag." good argument. may i also point out youre the one who doesnt have the slightest clue of how your proffessionals are literally braindead retards in comparison with the actual skilled ones. youre the one making racist remarks against a whole country. "You clearly know shit, I was talking about MVP project and not MVP PK. They are two different teams, if you can't distinguish those fucking two I'm afraid you are uneligible to be speaking about the Korean CSGO scenes.." in what world is solo not washed up? he hasnt been in the scene for fucking years. if you dont know what hte word washed up means then you shouldnt be having this discussion. they are washed up and not getting proper practice so of course they have limitd abillity to improve, which makes your argument useless. "Also, what sort of sources do you need to be given so that I can prove to you that a team that was picked up by one of the most serious Korean orgs is actually practicing?" im not sure what kind of question that is. i would assume that if you made such a statement you would base it on something, you know like a human ebing. "Please stop embarassing yourself. And yes, a team can't be good just from hardcore practice, just check what I said in #96 ffs." i did. you said practice is useless. i asked how that would work. then you said, "ffs just looked at my post! its right there, "practice is useless"". try finish kidnergarten. stop embarrassing yourself.

Can you not read? Are you fucking retarded? Do you know why I called you a newfag or are you fucking baiting? Jesus Christ you are triggering me so hard with your utter stupidity right now. Let me explain this to you: You were making remarks about a "washed up old" team which means that you were talking about MVP.ProjectKorea (talking about Solo, holy fuck, do you even see Solo in the article?) which I hadn't mentioned once. What your newfag brain failed to realise is that THIS ENTIRE ARTICLE AND THIS ENTIRE CHAIN OF COMMENTS AND ARGUEMENT is about MVP.project which is an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT TEAM. Now, in this situation you are either an absolute retard which makes inelligible to argue about fucking anything. Or, you are an absolute newfag who probably still hasn't realised that MVP.P and MVP.PK are two different teams, which makes you inelligible to argue about anything that has to do with the Korean scene. Do you understand my point of you being a newfag now?? Do you fucking understand now???? Or do I need to spell it out for you, you braindead idiot? Jesus fucking Christ. I wasted 3 paragraphs of my life just because your IQ is 20. What more proof do you need other than the fact that they've been picked up by one of the most renowned orgs in Korea AND they are getting paid. At this point YOU NEED TO PROVE to me that they are not practicing. You are such a fucking waste of time. Why do I need to explain to you that they are practcing (ofc they are they are a paid team, what the fuck do you think they fucking do?) Why do I need to explain to you, that even if they practiced 14 hours per day, it would still not be comparable practice to European 9 hour practice? Why do I need to explain to you the difference between MVP.P and MVP.PK? Why do you still believe I was talking about Solo not being washed and not MVP.P who are young? (You literally copy pasted the part of me explaining the difference of where Solo plays and who the fuck I'm talking about AND YOU STILL PROBABLY DIDN'T READ IT) Why are you so fucking braindead?!?!?!

"Can you not read? Are you fucking retarded? Do you know why I called you a newfag or are you fucking baiting? Jesus Christ you are triggering me so hard with your utter stupidity right now." cause you thought i didnt think solo is washed up when hes the ery definition of it. "What more proof do you need other than the fact that they've been picked up by one of the most renowned orgs in Korea AND they are getting paid. At this point YOU NEED TO PROVE to me that they are not practicing." who the fuck cares if a bunch of random koreans are practicing a game. the argument is if they are practicing with the regimen of the scc1 teams during the sc1 era as well as being able to have the same practice quality of the players of that era, as the argument at hand is whether koreans would dominate the cs scene if they had any kind of a network at all within it. its you who needs to prove that they 1.practice enough. 2. practie with good enough quality 3. that they arent basically a bunmch of random koreans just starting to play fucking counter strike with no proven talent like the gods of gaming that koreans have in other games. because thats the fucking question. "Why do I need to explain to you, that even if they practiced 14 hours per day, it would still not be comparable practice to European 9 hour practice?" thats right they ant practice with the same quality as people in other places "Why do you still believe I was talking about Solo not being washed and not MVP.P who are young?" they are all washed up or trashtier notalents, thats the whole point of why your claims of how their results has any meaning on anything are irrelevant. your scene is an embarrassing joke, you have ancient frauds of VP being valued at just about the best team in the world. and you make hilarious, racist, insulting, ludicrous, nosubstance claims of how koreans will never be able to compete in cs because it requires this magical substance that koreans a a race lack. nevermind how if you had any clue what kind of gods sc1 legends are you would puke out of embarrassment for defending your fraud notalent, lazy, easyriding trash proffessionals. and what te fuck is gold nova and elite? are you playing kindergarten again?
