AttackeR returns to TyLoo for DH LV

YuanZhang "AttackeR" Sheng will return to the starting lineup of TyLoo at DreamHack Masters Las Vegas.

In January TYLOO removed YuanZhang "⁠Attacker⁠" Sheng and YuLun "⁠Summer⁠" Cai from their lineup after the players got in touch with other organizations. HaoWen "⁠somebody⁠" Xu was also suspended but returned to the roster for WESG World Finals where the Chinese team finished 5-8th.

Now Attacker is also back in the starting lineup and will play his first official match in 2017 at DreamHack Masters Las Vegas which offers $450,000 in cash prizes. The event will take place from February 15-19.

AttackeR is back

Zhen "⁠HZ⁠" Huang who was a part of the squad at WESG World Finals has secured a visa to the US and will complete the roster alongside Ke "⁠captainMo⁠" Liu, Hui "⁠DD⁠" Wu, and somebody. HLTV.org has also learned that HZ is still on loan from AllGamers and the other four players in the roster have contracts until 2019.

HLTV didn't follow up the further news of Tyloo shuffle. The managers of Tyloo published the screenshot between them, fancy and other players, which shows that it is fancy who always threats to live the org unless the org improve the salary (which is already the highest csgo salary in China); who threats to leave org unless they kick MO. The fans in China already turned from supporting leaving players to supporting the org. The org has actually showed great inclusiveness during the event. The biggest problem they have is they failed to deal with public relations at beginning.

And that is true. I've been following csgo scene in China for quite a long time and finally found out that the tyloo org did much less wrong than it appeared to be. I'm hoping that HLTV will post another article to clarify the situation or else tyloo org will always be mistreated like this.

There is absolutely nothing wrong for wanting to leave/negotiating a better deal especially when your contract ends in 2 months. Tarik did the same when he was in CLG. It's barely a threat, if you can't outbid other orgs then it's normal a player will accept the better offer. This breaks no law and there is nothing fundamentally wrong, it's just business and negotiation, although it might upset some fans. On the other hand, allying with event organisers to ban the players is not acceptable in any circumstances.

This alliance to ban the players is the wrongest thing did by Tyloo which leads to lots of misunderstanding. In another statement made by Tyloo, the contract has forbidden players to contact other org. Despite that, Tyloo only banned players after they realize the players had negotiated with other org for several times and has nearly already reached a deal. (In traditional sport like soccer, it is also not good to contact the second org privately and not telling your current org. Just like China soccer clubs have been criticized for directly contacting soccer player in Brazil and leaving soccer club in Brazil no ability to negotiate.) About the ban, in the same statement, Tyloo clarifies that the Ban is effective only within the contract terms. The announcement wrote "ban until the problem is solved" is because AttackeR has a 2 year contract, and if wrote "ban until contract ends" would mean AttackeR will be away from scene for two years. Tyloo didn't realize such statement would cause a lot of controversies and misunderstandings. (And this is what I mean by "failed to deal with public relations")

Do you realize how stupid trying to ban fancy from contacting other org is? Lets say an executive working at Coca-Cola has 2 months left on his contract. What if he wants to extend his contract with Coca-Cola but doesnt know what his market worth is. He is able to in his spare time while still working for Coca-Cola, look for other opportunities and find what kind of price range he is worth. He can then talk with Coca-Cola if he wishes to stay and extend his contract with new terms. You and tyloo are trying to say he must run out his contract therefore making him a free agent/unemployed before he can start to negotiate a deal. Its so ridiculous that this is the first time ive ever heard of this happening before.

Contract is contract. Furthermore, even on a sports team, isn't it common for a manager to bench his player if he has big transferring possibilities? David De Gea got benched for the first three rounds of premier league last season because he is like to transfer to Real Madrid. And, I believe I have clarified the issue of banning.

Let me try and explain like this, fancy1 is contracted to tyloo for work purposes. Its his job to work 8-10 hours a day, however many hours a week and attend events with his team. How do you think tyloo has any authority over him in his own time, meaning outside his work hours. What he does in his free time is his business, who he talks to is HIS business. I think you are trying to say the contract itself is illegal outside China. However, you are keeping using normal working contract to justify this. CS:GO is a kind of esport. Esport can be seen as a kind of sport. Sport has different contract rule with normal jobs. When sports team are transferring their players, it is org communicate with org, not player reaches org. Still, esport cannot compare with normal sports, because its player transfer is much more frequent, the life span of a player is much shorter than a normal sport. This shuffle has caused China esport team to consider to create a more standardized contract rule. About the human rights. The statement made by Tyloo manager Kindy said that "we are sad to find out players were going to another org, thus we asked DD and Fancy if they were willing to stay if their salaries are raised. DD said no and Fancy said it would be embarrassing if others find out. So we have a meeting with fancy attacker somebody and Karsa." Fancy is the leading player who wanted to leave Tyloo, thus I don't think there is a problem to reach Fancy privately to see if he would accept a higher salary. I now believe it is fancy's tone which makes a lot of fans believe it is Tyloo's fault to provide a higher pay in condition of not telling other teammates about it.

And I would like to translate further content from statement of Kindy (Tyloo manager) After the Cologne Minor, which Tyloo lost 2-3 in Swiss format, the players called Kindy to his room and asked to increase salary. Karsa and Fancy started to want to kick MO. In July, the salary increased 2.5 times. (The sponsorship from LeshiTV arrived) Tyloo won 150k dollars prizes in total. The money is split between 5 players and coach. Players start to ask for First Class Train Trip and no morning plane trip. In Sept, the players continue to blame Mo and required him to be replaced In Oct, Tyloo provided a better contract for players because Tyloo felt players are still unsatisfied with the salary. Only AttackeR signed the contract (the contract til 2019). Other players didn't. Fancy said they feel the base salary is too low and they want 50% profits of Tyloo products selling (Tyloo mousepads, Tyloo stickers if they make it to major). However, since they will leave for Bootcamp in Europe, the new contracts weren't able to be drafted before they leave. In Dec, Tyloo lost Eleague Minor. Then there is the private talks between Kindy, Jason (Tyloo boss) and players about rising salaries. In Jan 7th, they talked to Mo and DD. Tyloo kept profit deficit from 2004 to 2016. From 04 to 15, there is no sponsor for Tyloo. Jason annually spent 50k - 500k dollars from his own pocket. In 2016, LeshiTV sponsored Tyloo but still could not make profit for Jason. Under this circumstance, Tyloo rised players salaries more than 2.5 times

The banning of players wasnt meant to ruin their career, but force the hidden org which offered 10x salary to come out and negotiate, but no org came out. The statement from fancy1 said his contract expires at Feb(end of Feb i assume), and they had sponsorship contract till June, which fancy claimed he shouldnt be responsible of. But most likely wont be able to play till June if issue is not resolved.

It is only the way Tyloo used, make it seems like Tyloo is the bad guy which cooperates with Event holder to ban player, which is actually not the case. tyloo is not that bad. HLTV did not publish upcoming evidences for this shuffle. tyloo's owner and manager make this issue clear. It was fancy1 that asked for too much salary (140K USD per year and parts of sponsors' money )and forced tyloo to kick Mo. He also told Attacker Karsa somebody to help him. They six all (except Karsa) have formal contracts with Tyloo. I am not sure that 140K USD is true, but that is surely a lot of money which do not match his performance at all. hopefully there will be less misunderstanding

The statement made by Tyloo managers and bosses consists hard evidence (chatting log screenshot), and clarifies players' statement. Chinese fans stood behind players first and only after we saw the statement made by Kindy and Jason (which are not put on HLTV), we found that Tyloo is more innocent in this event.
