Cloud9 invited to DH Austin

DreamHack has revealed Cloud9 as its second invited team for the upcoming event in Austin.

The North American team join G2 on the list of participants for the $100,000 tournament - with four more invites still to be revealed for the event, which is DreamHack's third stop of the year.

Despite winning the ESL Pro League Season 4 Finals in October, Cloud9 have been struggling for form in recent months. Their last three events ended in disappointment as they failed to qualify for the ELEAGUE Major and could not advance from the group stage at DreamHack Masters Las Vegas and at IEM Katowice.

Cloud9 will have a chance to prove their value

I already have 2 swedish teams iz enuf, and fnatic iz tier2 mangg, AND YES I KNOW VP IS TIER 1 ATM, but we all know they have just been a bit lucky recently with teams like fnatic sucking etc, now when they back vp will be ez suck again and cuz teams like heroic etc have stepped up vp will fall into le tier3 league sooner rather than later lul Why? struggle vs lower teams and online so no events etc ALSO teams like faze,fnc,astralis will just become soo much better now so the thing vp have always done good(Beat tier1 teams) they will stop doing therefore no more wins vs good teams and they cant beat bad teams tier2 or even tier3 so ez tier3 in few months, 1 year max, iz ez as 123 my friend. But sure I can -vp + KINGUIN for this event lul

Yeah, the most consistent team in the game is always lucky. No, they've always been good, but I also hate that they don't give a fuck abiut online matches. If they actually tried, they'd be even better. And how can you know that VP won't be able to compete agains't Astralis, fnatic (still trash) or FaZe? And btw, trashvice has some kind of disease, so hopefully the astralis shitsquad goes down to horseshit along with poor guy devve.

I mean IF devve becomes dogshit I PRAY that they fuck their friendship etc, and just instantly gets like JUGI or someone LUL and still fnatic getting better n better, and we also got teams like navi(w changes), north,SK etcetc as tier1 teams and IMT/heroic/other shitters can get in there and le mouz etc will SPANK vp online ofc, just DONEZOO for vp, A few more events in 2017 cuz invites but then 2018 very few invites and never ever qualify cuz online, ez tier3 inc, next kebab soliders so fewer and fewer events cuz they never qualify and when they do play just ez win for le tier1 teams. actually probably not too far off. envyus or ldlc might get an invite. nip will. flipside might. big would actually be pretty cool. maybe SK or imt invite since it's in NA. wouldnt be surprised if gambit, mouz, heroic, or godsent took invites too.

I think it will be a great event. won't be a premier event but a lot of teams 5-15 will be playing and teams with new rosters. Should be fun to watch a lot of these teams play their first real event with practice with their new rosters.

yea new rosters are always exciting, i hope they dont make the cringy mistakes that usually come with it. its weird because most of the mistakes aren't usually related to communication and stuff.

I have no idea why C9 is invited to come to events first. The only thing C9 will have in their trophy collection for the next year is EPL Season 4. As long as shroud and n0thing are on C9 I refuse to take them seriously.

C9 always is invited to grand events, such a shame that every event in USA they need hold one spot for them, even they being a bad team Is more weird that a event with only 8 spots, two of them were given for two tier 2 teams
