HellRaisers qualify for DH Open Austin

HellRaisers came out on top of the European closed qualifier for DreamHack Open Austin following wins against BIG, mousesports, and Vega Squadron, securing their place at the $100,000 event taking place from April 28-30.

Earlier today, the DreamHack Open Austin European closed qualifier was played out with eight teams (four of which were invited, while the other four came from the open stage played on Saturday) fighting for a single spot at the $100,000 event.

The big surprise of the qualifier was the Russian-Ukrainian mixture Vega Squadron, who defeated GODSENT and Kinguin on their way to the final, while HellRaisers passed BIG and MOUZ in the first two rounds.

ANGE1's HellRaisers succeeded in yet another qualifier

The two then met in the grand final for the spot at DreamHack Open Austin and it was the European concoction that prevailed in the end, winning Mirage 16-10 and Inferno 16-12.

With HellRaisers qualifying for DreamHack Open Austin, the list of teams is now following:

Brazil Immortals  United States Liquid  Denmark HEROIC  Kazakhstan Gambit
France G2 United States Cloud9  Europe HellRaisers  Other NA closed qualifier

Only one spot remains to be determined, which will go to the winner of the North American closed qualifier that is currently underway.

Expected Edit: hi moritz

Well they won 2 bo1s but that doesnt really matter. I mean the veto is different for sure and HR will always be an underdog against g2 but considering how bad g2 is atm they have a solid chance against them in a bo3 as well

So we have to wait another DH until we See BIG compiting in a T1 championship. In my opinion BIG really deserves a spot. Maybe we just habe more patience. So good luck to HR!

Yeah, you're right at some point. But I suppose, that C9, G2 and Immortals are T1 teams unlike the others. I just thought it' d be great if BIG can Show their skill not in all T2 tournament like DH Leipzig or the Mountain Dew League, which is a high League, but i thinken that league is a Bit to weak for BIG

If G2 dont meet immortals before final, and dont end in the final anyway, then they should consider their future- Only immortal should be able to beat G2 in bo3.

they had to play with their coach cuz denis was sick, they prolly would have 2-0ed them with healthy denis after they crushed them on HRs first map 16-8
