After Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz’s departure, OpTic have had a revolving door of players standing in and trying out for the last spot on the team. This time, it is Jason "jasonR" Ruchelski who will try and make his mark.

When Peter "⁠stanislaw⁠" Jarguz left OpTic for Liquid, it was Spencer "⁠Hiko⁠" Martin and Luis "peacemaker" Tadeu who joined OpTic, but after a 9-12th finish at DreamHack Masters Las Vegas and an 11-12th place finish at IEM Katowice, Hiko and peacemaker parted ways with William "⁠RUSH⁠" Wierzba, Keith "⁠NAF⁠" Markovic, Oscar "⁠mixwell⁠" Cañellas, and Tarik "⁠tarik⁠" Celik.

jasonR will have a golden chance to turn some heads

In a scant market, especially dried up of IGLs—what the North American side really need—, the OpTic team is trying different players with different profiles to see if something fits. Soon after Hiko and peacemaker went their ways, it was Ryan "⁠freakazoid⁠" Abadir who stood in, although it was clear from the beginning it would be something temporary.

Now, it is Jason "⁠jasonR⁠" Ruchelski who will play with the American-Canadian-Spanish team. The Canadian player is in an odd stand-in/trial situation, but will nonetheless take the reins of the team and lead them in-game. With his addition, the lineup now looks as follows:

William "⁠RUSH⁠" Wierzba
Tarik "⁠tarik⁠" Celik
Oscar "⁠mixwell⁠" Cañellas
Keith "⁠NAF⁠" Markovic
Jason "⁠jasonR⁠" Ruchelski (stand-in)

Has been pretty good in fpl while playinh w/ turok and mixwell.

wow, hes not quite as shit as joshRT, laski and the likes. doesnt mean he should ever be more than a temporary standin for a team like optic. or... i dont know how smart this guy is, but if he was dedi, he could maybe have a spot on a top NA team as an IGL. but only if hes smart and dedi, not dicking around in esea pugs and rank S for 12 hours daily.

Individually JasonR is a skilled player, but as a whole Splyce wasn't a very good team. He has potential as a stand in, but I don't see him landing a spot on a tier 1 NA team.

I think this would work better than with hiko or freak. This would be like a slightly better version of daps's optic. I don't think jason is gonna be a consistent fragger, but as long as he IGLs and allows the other plaeyrs to focus on killing, it's gonna work
