Misfits qualify for DreamHack Tours

Eight North American teams competed in the DH Tours NA closed qualifier for the last spot at the LAN tournament in France. Four of these teams were invited and the other four came through the open qualifier.

The single-elimination bracket kicked off with invited teams facing qualified teams and all the invited teams (NRG, eUnited, Luminosity, Misfits) came on top.

In the semi-finals NRG crushed eUnited, letting their opponents get twelve rounds on two maps. Misfits had a much closer affair with the Brazilians of Luminosity as the series went to three maps. Misfits won the last map Inferno 16-14 with Shahzeb "⁠ShahZaM⁠" Khan's 100.9 ADR and 1.72 rating performance.

Misfits, who used Ryan "⁠ichibaNNN⁠" Colucci as a stand-in, kicked off the grand final with an 11-4 CT-side on Mirage which secured them the first map (16-7). NRG put up a fight in the first half on Cache, winning it 8-7, but Misfits came alive on the T-side to win the map 16-12, winning the grand final 2-0 and qualifying for DreamHack Open Tours.
