Astralis beat CLG

Astralis have won their first SL i-League StarSeries Season 3 Finals match against CLG (16-11 on Train).

CLG started as Counter-Terrorists on Train. Although Astralis managed to plant in the pistol round, the North American could retake the B bombsite and defuse the bomb. In the first buy for the Danes, Stephen "reltuC" Cutler had a triple kill that helped his team secure the 3-0 lead.

Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth saved an AWP and Astralis bought once again. However, the B defense was looking strong as the next two rounds were won by the North American team at the inner bombsite. The Danish team had to eco, which meant a 6-0 lead for CLG.

Astralis had a slow start but ended up winning their first match

Ethan "Ethan" Arnold opened up the seventh round with a double kill at B, but Xyp9x's triple kill had a bigger impact as his team was able to win their first round. After losing two rounds in a row, CLG had to eco as the scoreline was 6-3.

In the tenth round, Xyp9x clutched a 1v2 and from that point his team was able to tie 6-6. Following the draw, another B execution from the Terrorists had guaranteed one more round for CLG. The North American didn't give up and won the following two for a first half 9-6 lead.

The Danes let their opponents plant in the second pistol round, but they had secured it after a bombsite retake. This meant CLG could buy after an eco, which was what the North American did with a fast and well-succeeded B execution for a 10-8 lead. From that point, Astralis kept winning until they were leading 13-10.

Kenneth "koosta" Suen's quad-kill in the 24th round helped his team secure another round, but Nicolai "device" Reedtz's squad was stronger than the North American side as they only lost two rounds as Counter-Terrorists and finished the game 16-11.

PotM: Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth is our Player of the Match as he had 21 kills and the biggest ADR (98.2) of the match. He also contributed in 82% of the rounds, had a good CT-side and did some key rounds as Terrorist - including a 1v2 clutch that helped his team tie the match 6-6.

Koosta looking more like the old Selfless guy than the Liquid one.

Yep. Liquid basically neutered the guy. Had him switch mouses, didnt give good direction, s1mple was an ass, then decided to take away his AWP because he wasnt doing well. Liquid has poor player development and just looks to buy players. Glad Koosta went to CLG to grow into a world class player
