fnatic beat Gambit at StarSeries

Starting out on the CT side, Gambit drew first blood with a convincing pistol round but were unable to follow that up as they were caught off-guard by Freddy "⁠KRIMZ⁠" Johansson, who won a 1v3 situation with a tec-9.

With the momentum swinging in their favour, fnatic added three more rounds to their tally to take a 4-1 lead. A trio of kills from Rustem "⁠mou⁠" Telepov inside B gave Gambit their second round of the game, but fnatic hit back right after to leave their opponents strapped for cash. fnatic refused to take their foot off the pedal and jumped out to a 10-3 lead, with Gambit taking the final two rounds to keep their hopes alive.

Danylo "⁠Zeus⁠" Teslenko picked up three kills in the pistol round as Terrorist, giving Gambit a bit of breathing room. The Kazakh side went on to win the corresponding anti-ecos to reduce the deficit to just two rounds.

With three kills inside B, Jesper "⁠JW⁠" Wecksell then gave fnatic their first round of the second half. That was when Olof "⁠olofmeister⁠" Kajbjer stepped up to the plate: the 25-year-old single-handedly won two key rounds, including one in a 2vs4 situation, to inspire his team to an emphatic victory in Kiev.

PoTM: In addition to his 28 frags, olofmeister won many key rounds, including a 1vs1 in the third round on 4 HP against an opponent that had full health. He was 26:7 in the rounds fnatic won, with a 141.8 ADR in those.
