fnatic have eliminated Virtus.pro from SL i-League StarSeries Season 3 Finals after beating them 16-2 on Inferno.

Although Virtus.pro started the map with two opening kills, fnatic won their Terrorist pistol round with a triple-kill by Robin "⁠flusha⁠" Rönnquist, with the next two rounds also going in their favor. In the first gun round, a triple-kill by Jarosław "⁠pashaBiceps⁠" Jarząbkowski helped the Poles win their first as the scoreline was 1-3.

Virtus.pro won nine rounds in their last three maps at StarSeries

Olof "⁠olofmeister⁠" Kajbjer cleared Banana in the following round with a double-kill, which opened up the way for eight straight rounds for his team as Virtus.pro failed to win their buy-rounds – including the tenth, where flusha and Jesper "⁠JW⁠" Wecksell won a 2v3 clutch inside B. A double AWP save from the previous round helped the Polish team secure the 13th round, but fnatic didn't stop their Terrorist run as they closed first half 13-2.

The second half started with a triple-kill by Filip "⁠NEO⁠" Kubski that seemed to help his team secure a much-needed round. However, Freddy "⁠KRIMZ⁠" Johansson managed to clutch a 1v2 against NEO and pashaBiceps to power his team to win round and and take the game, 16-2.

PotM: Olof "⁠olofmeister⁠" Kajbjer had 16 kills, a 98.8 ADR and a 1.43 rating during the match. Moreover, the Swedish player opened up B in the second buy round with a double-kill, which helped fnatic to win eight straight rounds, and had a 4:0 score in opening duels.

Nothing new here. VP always looks strong for a couple of weeks or a month AT BEST. And then they experience a long long slump. I feel for polish fans as they choked so hard at the major tho they were the stringest team atm. And also VP will never be top1 world because they just can't stay on their top level for long.
