Astralis over SK; to playoffs

After defeating SK 16-11 on Train, Astralis became another name locked in for the SL i-League StarSeries Season 3 Finals playoffs.

Astralis and SK began Train by exchanging the first six rounds evenly with the Brazilians getting a 3-0 lead after cleanly winning the pistol round as CT while Nicolai "device" Reedtz's side picked up the first two gunrounds.

The next four rounds went back and forth, as Astralis won two gunrounds and SK replied to each with a forcebuy win, including one where João "felps" Vasconcellos got three kills.

From there on, the half was firmly in the hands of Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo's squad, who got all of the remaining rounds for 10-5.

Astralis move on to quarter-finals

Astralis clinched the second pistol round with ease and soon made the score even again at 10-10, retaking a tight 2v2 on the A bombsite in the first gunround. SK then switched things up and went to B to get their first round as Terrorists on the board.

The Danes decimated SK's economy when Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth defended B on his own with four kills, giving Astralis a 13-11 lead. Once the next two rounds were exchanged once more, Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander and company had the economic advantage to finish off the match at 16-12.

PotM: Nicolai "device" Reedtz takes the Player of the Match award thanks to contributing in all 16 rounds Astralis won with a 20-2 score in the round wins as well as eight multi-kills overall.

Hm, so that means CLG vs NiP, fnatic vs FaZe and SK vs Immortals most likely, can't wait tbh.

Impressive play by the danes! So they beat SK 5 times out of 6 maps. Thats pretty awesome! Hope they can take the 4th event in a row, that takes us back to the Fnatic era to find such dominance

This format is really shitty and more luck-based than not. Anyone can cruise to playoffs vs crap teams and bo1's.
