NiP invited to ESL One Cologne

Ninjas in Pyjamas have been confirmed as the sixth team to be present at ESL One Cologne in July.

Ninjas in Pyjamas are joining SK, fnatic, Natus Vincere, Virtus.pro and FaZe in the team list for ESL's next event, as revealed by the organization via social media.

Back in 2014, the Swedish team managed to win ESL One Cologne after defeating fnatic 2-1 in the finals. However, Ninjas in Pyjamas's latest presences at the German city were disappointing as they placed 9-12th last year and 5-8th in 2015.

Ninjas in Pyjamas will try to secure Cologne's first place once again

Set to take place at the LANXESS Arena, Cologne, ESL One next iteration's playoffs will be played from July 7-9. As for information about format, prize pool and group stage, the organization is yet to unveil any details.

well, eleague season 1 is more worth it than dreamhack malmo and SL i-league together for sure, only good tournament that was really important and with good oponents for nip in 2016 was oakland, which they won just because f0rest is still a reaaally good player and he showed his godlike performance. Not going to talk about how fair or unfair it was, or about how some teams let the finals slip away to the worse team because an upset is what it is in the group stage or in the grand final, it doesn't matter. the thing is that they got 3 wins, just one in a really big tournament, and the rest of the year they weren't even able to consistently get into the top 5-6, whereas vp has shown that they're perfectly capable of beating anyone anytime

Tbf NIP's line up either needs to change for the better, or star players like f0rest need to move on. Tbh most of it was luck with f0rest carrying. VP has had a lot of ups and downs but when they have looked good, they have looked really good. Whereas NIP when they looked good they were still shakey and just lucky.
