During the group stage in Kiev the European mixture lost two maps but was able to beat SK, Immortals, and Gambit for a spot in the playoffs. In the later stages, FaZe won three different best-of-three matches to secure the first place at the SL i-League StarSeries Season 3 Finals, where they only conceded a single map to both G2 and Astralis.

Against HellRaisers, in the semi-finals, Nikola "⁠NiKo⁠" Kovač had a 1.46 rating in the first map before winning the match 2-0. In the final match against Astralis, after losing the first map (Mirage), NiKo had a 1.14 and a 1.01 rating in the last two maps to help his squad guarantee the $125,000 prize.

As for other matches, NiKo had the best rating of the server against Immortals (1.48) and Gambit (1.53)—a match in which he also had an amazing 3 HP 1v3 clutch. To celebrate all of his contributions throughout the SL i-League StarSeries 3 Finals, Marcos "proutounz" Soares has put up together a compilation with the 20-year-old player's best highlights.
