Heroic see off Luminosity

The first elimination match in Austin featured Luminosity and HEROIC who lost their opening matches to HellRaisers and Gambit, respectively.

Luminosity's map pick Mirage was played first and the Brazilians secured the first three rounds on the T-side. The Danish squad stopped Luminosity in the first weapon round and started a seven round win streak.

Gustavo "⁠SHOOWTiME⁠" Gonçalves's triple kill in the eleventh round gave his team their fourth and despite losing the following round, Luminosity responded quickly to get their fifth round (8-5). The Deagles reigned supreme in the fourteenth round and HEROIC extended their lead to 9-5. The Danes won the half 10-5.

SHOOWTiME & company kicked off the second half by winning the first four rounds but Valdemar "⁠valde⁠" Bjørn Vangså's triple kill prevented the Brazilians from tying the game (11-9). valde's team went on to win the first map 16-10.

HEROIC started Nuke, which was their map pick, on the CT-side and won the first five rounds with only four casualties. The made the score 8-0 with relative ease and extended their lead to 10-0 despite Luminosity's bomb plants. Luminosity lost the eleventh round despite a 5vs3 man advantage and HEROIC won the half 13-2.

valde's quad kill in the pistol round gifted the round to HEROIC and the Danish squad went on to win the match 16-5. Jakob "⁠JUGi⁠" Hansen & company will play HellRaisers for a playoff spot while Luminosity will go home with $2,000.
