Heroic sweep HellRaisers; to semis

Heroic have made their way to DreamHack Open Austin semi-finals after defeating HellRaisers 2-0 (Nuke 16-2, Inferno 16-11) in Group A's decider.

HEROIC started off strong on Nuke, picking up a narrow pistol following a retake on the lower bombsite and beginning to rack up round after round with a dominating defense.

It wasn't until 8-0 that HellRaisers got their first round, but the Danes quickly got back on track with individual plays from Valdemar "valde" Bjørn Vangså (two opening kills outside) and Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer (a 1v2 clutch on upper).

HEROIC only conceded one more round before the half ended, as they switched over at 13-2 and swiftly finished off map one three rounds afterwards.

Playing on the Terrorist side at first, HEROIC once again got an early lead on Inferno, running away with the first five rounds without much trouble, while the sixth round saw Nikolaj "niko" Kristensen winning a 1v2 with a juicy spraydown.

Heroic were in control throughout the entire match

HellRaisers then opted for a double AWP setup and picked off their opponents to get on the board with one round, although Snappi's team replied back in the next round to break HR's economy.

Only letting go of three rounds in the half, in one of which Kyrylo "ANGE1" Karasiow grabbed himself an ace on banana, HEROIC switched over to the defense at a comfortable 11-4.

The Danish side then won their fourth pistol round in a row but conceded the following anti-forcebuy,  which allowed HellRaisers to go on a three-round streak for 7-12. Jakob "JUGi" Hansen's 1v1 clutch in the first gunround put HEROIC back on the horse, which led to three rounds in a row for match point.

Individual displays from ANGE1 and Vladyslav "bondik" Nechyporchuk gave HellRaisers a lifeline and got them to double digits, but ultimately HEROIC found the last round with Andreas "MODDII" Fridh picking up a triple on A for 16-11.

Smooth and easy for heroic, Without hellraisers winning every pistol rounds like in Katowice they're just utter garbage.

Basically got 18 free rounds by winning the pistols against North.

If North won just a single second-round forcebuy they would've won 2-0.

True. North was lackluster in the playoffs, probably why hellraisers got that far.

Its a shame, they got ultra close to beating them, then lost the momentum and stamina to win a 3rd map.
