G2 clinch semis spot over Tricked

After beating Tricked 2-0 (Cobblestone 16-11, Train 16-9), G2 move on to semi-finals at DreamHack Open Tours from second place in Group B.

In the rematch between G2 and Tricked at the end of day two, the Danes got off to the better start as CT with Michael "Friis" Jørgensen winning clutches twice in a row, a 1v2 in the pistol and a 1v1 in the following round.

All the action then took place on the A site, as G2 converted several attacks in their favor for a 4-3 lead. Switching to B afterwards didn't pay off, however, while Nicolai "HUNDEN" Petersen's men got up to 6-4.

All of the remaining rounds of the half went the way of the Frenchmen, whose Kenny "kennyS" Schrub and Richard "shox" Papillon started putting their double AWP on the offense to work, switching sides at a respectable 9-6.

Friis' quick double then decided the pistol round and eventually equalized the scoreline at 9-9, but it was G2 again who took control of most of the first gunrounds and a couple of dangerous antiecos.

NBK's men advance to semis, where they'll face mousesports tomorrow

At 14-10, the Danish AWPer shone once more with a quad-kill and yet another 1v1 clutch, but it was all the strength Tricked could muster up as G2 clinched map one at 16-11.

Train began with G2 retaking the B bombsite for a 2-0 lead before Tricked went to the same B bombsite in the first two gunrounds and picked up four in a row. With kennyS and Nathan "NBK-" Schmitt working together agressively on the A bombsite, G2 put up quite the defense in the next six rounds.

Tricked closed the first half with another streak, this time three in a row after Patrick "es3tag" Hansen and Friis each added a 1v1 clutch to their name, switching over to the defense with seven rounds.

The second half saw G2 picking up the pistol round and breaking the Danes' economy right after Friis gave them their first round on the defense with a quad-kill. That put the French team on a 15-8 lead, which they soon turned into a spot in the semi-finals at 16-9.

It'a shame. France voted for the normal elite's choice instead of someone who was gonna support the country and change it for the better... sad times. Glad i voted brexit anyway :)

You gotta get out of the mindset of the "elite candidate." You don't run for president of a country if you don't love it and want to improve it. Anyway, you should take some more economics classes and you'll find that the european union is great for the whole world!

they played the 4th or 5th best team in denmark. G2 should steam roll them on paper yet they have some clear issues. They have a long fucking way to go if they ever want to threaten the top teams
