OpTic have decided on their fifth for the time being, with Jason "jasonR" Ruchelski set to lead the team at upcoming events. It has also been confirmed that James "hazed" Cobb will be staying with the team as coach.

In the latest episode of Vision, OpTic's documentary show, Oscar "⁠mixwell⁠" Cañellas confirmed that Jason "⁠jasonR⁠" Ruchelski and James "⁠hazed⁠" Cobb will be attending tournaments with the team at least until the player break.

OpTic are sticking with jasonR for the upcoming events

That means that jasonR will be playing at the ESL Pro League Season 5 Finals in Dallas, ESL One Cologne, the Major Qualifier and potentially at the Major. After a brief stint as a player at IEM Sydney, hazed will be returning to the coaching position for the upcoming period.

In the video, it was made clear that the duo is only confirmed for the next couple of months, with OpTic possibly open to other options after the Major.

What you guys both don't realise is that they are roster locked for ESL and major qualifier has its own complications. As sick is playing for misfits in the minor, he can't play for any other team in valve events until after the major. Which is the 'player break' that optic will re-evaluate their options at. At least until then they're stuck with a streamer and washed up CLG player However, anyone who didn't qualify to a minor eg nip players or valde can play, maybe a bad move from og

he just concentrates on fragging in rank s. His raw aim is very good , but Optic doesn't need him to frag with the roster they have. Everyone will hate on him unless he is dropping a 30 bomb every match. Get it together and try to think of what he is actually trying to do for the team.

Honestly they've looked better with JasonR than just about anyone else, which does show the impact an IGL can have over a star player. That said, people saying "why not Daps" don't seem to realize that Daps is just as bad as JasonR while bringing in almost nothing new (and, in fact, probably less).

Good decision ,JasonNaaasty is great person and great player. i think he is playing as open fragger and igl in the Optic like MSL in North (pretty hard role) People only see K/D but its not about that.Jason will do his job. Gl my man ))
