Tengri book Major qualifier spot

The penultimate day of the CIS Minor began with Tengri beating Quantum Bellator Fire 2-0 (16-8 on Train and 16-11 on Mirage). In the other upper bracket semi-final, Vega Squadron crushed pro100 with 16-5 and 16-4 scorelines on Cache and Nuke, respectively.

Quantum Bellator Fire and pro100 then met in the lower bracket final, with the latter managing to avenge their loss in the winners' match of Group B. This time, the Ukrainian side did not let their opponents answer and won two maps in a row - 16-4 on Nuke and 16-9 on Cobblestone.

Ramz1k's Tengri have made it to the Minor's grand final

Tengri started out the upper bracket final with an impressive 11-4 lead as Terrorists on Cache, Vega Squadron's map pick. The Kazakhs then hit 14 rounds after winning the pistol and the following two, but the Russian squad replied with 10 straight rounds. After trading the next two, Vega Squadron were the ones to close off the map 19-16 on overtime.

Once again, Ramazan "⁠Ramz1kBO$$⁠" Bashizov and co. proved their T-side's calibre with a 10-5 scoreline on Overpass. Vega Squadron then won the second pistol round, but lost the following one, which led Tengri for a 13-6 lead. Despite their adversaries' effort, who managed to reach the tie, the Kazakhstan team took the series to a third map after winning their own pick 16-13.

The decider map, Mirage, began with both teams trading rounds. Still, Tengri managed to grab six straight rounds as CTs, leading them to a dominant 9-2 score. Despite losing the following one, Bektiyar "⁠fitch⁠" Bahytov's squad continued to pave the way for the victory with a 12-3 lead by the end of the first half. From that point, the Kazakhs easily guaranteed a spot at the Major qualifier with an overwhelming 16-5 win.

The CIS Minor will continue tomorrow, with Vega Squadron facing off pro100 in the consolidation final at 14:15 . The winner will not only assure a place at the Major qualifier but also in the Minor final, which will hand out $30,000 to the champions.
