Immortals secure Major qualifier spot

The first game of the day had Cloud9 face off against Luminosity. The North American squad beat the Brazilians on both Mirage (16-9) and Cache (19-17) and assured themselves of a place in the upper bracket final.

As for Immortals' match against CLG, Ricardo "⁠boltz⁠" Prass led the way for his team's 2-0 victory - 16-11 on Overpass and 16-12 on Train - with a 1.41 rating.

Immortals have secured a spot at the Major qualifier

The upper bracket final began on Train, Cloud9's map pick. Starting out as Counter-Terrorists, Immortals got off to a great start and took an 11-4 lead at the end of the first half, and they carried their momentum into the second half, taking the map at 16-8.

Henrique "⁠HEN1⁠" Teles and his teammates lost the first pistol on Cache, but they managed to take a 7-3 lead. However, the North Americans bounced back and eventually got a one-round lead as CTs with a 1v5 clutch from Tyler "⁠Skadoodle⁠" Latham in the last round of the half.

In the following pistol round, HEN1 clutched a 1v3 situation to tie up the game at 8-8. From that point, Immortals took control of the game and they eventually locked down the map, 16-9, to close out the series.
