Vega Squadron defeat pro100, to Major Qualifier
Vega Squadron qualified for their second Major Qualifier by defeating pro100 with a 2-1 scoreline (22-19 Cache, 14-16 Mirage, 16-11 Nuke).
The consolidation final of the CIS Minor was the match that decided which team would get a PGL Major Krakow 2017 Main Qualifier spot and represent CIS—alongside the already qualified Tengri. In a rematch of the semi-final, Vega Squadron, who secured a one-sided victory in the first matchup, took on pro100.
The first part of the veto went the same, with Vega Squadron picking Cache to start off the series. This time around, pro100 started as Terrorists and got a decent, six-round half. After the switch and powered by a great game by Igor "crush" Shevchenko, pro100 managed to get to 15 rounds, but couldn't close out and Vega Squadron made the match go to overtime.
Mirroring crush's performance for Vega Squadron was Nikolay "mir" Bityukov. The 21-year-old Russian put up 40 kills in the first map, helping his team secure the victory on Cache after two overtimes.

For the second map pro100 picked Mirage, switching away from Nuke that they picked in the first series. At the start of the T side, Vadim "Flarich" Karetin's team picked up three rounds, but Vega Squadron picked up the following eight, seemingly putting up a great CT side. However, after a clean round that was opened up by Sergey "smike" Sklyarenko's AWP, the Ukrainian side managed to close down the lead to only round, making it 8-7 before they switched to CT.
The round winning streak was continued on the CT side, allowing pro100 to take the lead in the match, but only for a short period. From 11-11 onwards, the match was seemingly in any team's hands, but Leonard "kenzor" Volodarchuk's 1v1 clutch against Dmytro "jR" Chervak on the B site that made the score 14-14 broke the economy of Vega Squadron, leaving them on the losing side of a 16-14.

On Nuke, the decider map, pro100 had a great CT side thanks to winning the crucial money-reset rounds. With the economy working in their favor, the Ukrainian side managed to get a 10-5 lead in the first half.
In the second pistol round, mir and Pavel "hutji" Lashkov picked up two kills apiece and kickstarted Vega Squadron's comeback from the CT side of Nuke. It was looking bleak for pro100 as, round after round, they were unable to breach the Russian team's defenses.
Flarich and co. were already down 10-13 when they got a Terrorist round by attacking B, but it was too little too late and Vega Squadron closed out the game shortly after, with a 16-11 scoreline.
