Europe Minor - PGL Major Krakow 2017LDLC see off iGame.com at the Minor
LDLC have eliminated iGame.com at the Europe Minor after beating them 2-1 (12-16 on Mirage, 16-10 on Cobblestone, and 16-10 on Nuke).
LDLC and iGame.com faced off in the best-of-three Group B elimination match as the former lost to Dignitas and the latter was defeated by PENTA in their opening matches. The first map was Mirage where iGame.com started on the T-side.
The Finnish team won the first three rounds of the map without much trouble but lost the first weapon round as Mathieu "Maniac" Quiquerez and Antoine "to1nou" Pirard started the round with a kill each. iGame.com's answer was quick, winning a 2vs3 post-plant to extend their lead to 4-1.
Eetu "sAw" Saha's 1vs2 clutch in the eighth round made the score 7-1 but the CT-sided LDLC came alive during the latter stages of the half, winning six rounds in a row to trail 8-7 at halftime. The second half was a replay of the first one with iGame.com winning the pistol and anti-ecos, and LDLC winning the weapon round (11-8).
LDLC then took the lead, making it 12-11, but sAw's 1vs3 clutch in the following round tied the game at 12-12. After this crucial clutch, iGame.com went on to win the map 16-12 and lead 1-0 in the series.
Kévin "Ex6TenZ" Droolans & company kicked off Cobblestone with a pistol round win and Valentin "mistou" Balbastro's 1vs2 clutch in the anti-eco round made it 2-0 for the T-sided LDLC. iGame.com tied the game at 3-3 after winning the first weapon round and following two rounds but LDLC took full control and finished the half 10-5 ahead.
LDLC extended their lead to 13-5 by winning the first three rounds on the CT-side but iGame.com answered with five rounds in a row (13-10). Ex6TenZ won a crucial 1vs1 clutch against Sami "xseveN" Laasanen to make it 14-10 and LDLC then won the map 16-10.
The deciding map was Nuke where LDLC started on the CT-side and won the first two rounds. iGame.com's early buy in the third round worked and they started a four round streak (4-2). Maniac's triple kill tied the game at 5-5. Neither of the teams were able to run away with it and LDLC led 9-6 at halftime.
LDLC won the first three rounds of the second half, making it 12-6. Ex6TenZ & co. rushed ramp in the first weapon round to assert themselves (13-6). iGame.com won the following round despite their bad economy and kept themselves in the game (13-7). After iGame.com got their ninth round, LDLC won an eco round to make it 14-9.
Saku "SAGGERTON" Jokinen clutched a 1vs1 against Maniac in the following round to get his team's tenth round. LDLC won a 2vs4 to make it 15-10 and finished the job to win the map 16-10. They won the series 2-1 and eliminated iGame.com.
