Ninjas in Pyjamas member Adam "friberg" Friberg has admitted that he is receptive to the idea of furthering his career in North America.

The 25-year-old said in an interview with Richard Lewis that he will only agree to move to North America if he receives an offer from a team that he "really believes in" and that can "bring home titles".

Adam "⁠friberg⁠" Friberg is currently considering his options after stepping down from Ninjas in Pyjamas's active roster earlier this month to make way for Fredrik "⁠REZ⁠" Sterner, who joined the team from Epsilon.

friberg does not close the door on a move to North America

He remains contracted to Ninjas in Pyjamas, which means that he would have to be bought out of his contract to be able to join another team. Should he decide to hang up his mouse, Ninjas in Pyjamas are willing to offer him a position within the organisation.

During his time with Ninjas in Pyjamas, friberg won several international tournaments, most notably the ESL One Cologne 2014 Major. His last offline event for Ninjas in Pyjamas was cs_summit, where the team finished 5th-6th.

A lot of things go into roster moves other than the factors you mentioned. Teammate compatibility, morale in current team, etc. That's why tryouts are held, and especially for a in game leader, personality in the team matters

I think you overvalue friberg's experience. friberg's experience comes from winning a lot of tournaments before other teams got good and adapted, which is a couple of years ago now. friberg's experience isn't really that much of a value for c9 worth risking unless he has mad skills - which he does not have I'm afraid.

You need to be more specific. How will friberg's experience benefit C9? In what way? Being involved with all different types of strategies doesn't mean he knows how to deal with all types of strategies, and not necessarily better than the C9 members. So I think you overvalue friberg's experience too much here. I think if you put friberg in a tier 2 NA team, his experience will shine through, but not necessarily in the top 3 teams (NA).

why do i need to be more anything? friberg has been in the european CS pro scene for a very long time and was actually involved in some of the core strategies and methodologies that are still in play right now.. his knowledge and experience will help any NA team that he goes and works for (if he decides to go to NA at all) i don't care if his skill level has been lackluster lately, we're talking about a player who has been in the scene since like the beginning...

Pimp is back in EU... Hiko has had a .88 rating 2.0 for 2017 on LAN, and was actually NEVER a playmaker. Basically the opposite role as Friberg.

Let me correct some things for you. Mixwell is not an awper, he doesn't want to awp, he said it in his interview. He just is the best awper in Optic so he has to take the role. ChrisJ has not been the main awper in Mouz after getting benched and coming back. He is fine being the 2nd awper. That leaves Oskar to be the main awper.

one of the sad thing about hltv is that, if there is any news about any player/team that isn't tier 1 at this day and age, people either hate on them, talk shit on them, or just don't give a fuck about them at all... "The beginning" NiP was the only team that out in hundreds of hours more then anyone else so their beginning success is the most over rated in the history of sport. Its like they basically could have invented the game played together for ages then let everyone else start playing. So if you call someone a legend for doing that??? That's not legend. That's an easy path to success. Not a legendary way to do it lol. And when competition finally caught up and the game got hard he couldn't keep up and was never good enough to compete with the big boys. I would rather see him in EU team than in NA, or just hang around and stream. If he'd like to join NA team only reasonable choice right now is optic. C9 will be stuck with bots forever and friburger is not solution for them anyway. And fns leaving CLG would be very discutable move (or bad if you will), probably as bad as stan leaving optic. CLG are currently quite good lookin like optic was while ago (before stan left). Look at optic AND liquid now. Both just... NA team ^^

Honestly I can't comprehend why people suddenly start cheering for him to join one of the better NA teams. He doesn't deserve that, he was good back in the day but is absolute dogshit right now. He would drag Liquid, C9 or Optic down heavy. He's far from an intelligent stratcaller. He's just a mediocre or even below average entryfragger, which isn't somethinng the NA teams need right now. Only reason why teams would maybe wanna pick him up is because he has a large fanbase and brings in views, sponsors and merch sales. He should either join a team like Red Reserve in europe or something like splyce, misfits or complexity if he wants to go to NA. C9, Liquid or Optic are too good for him.
