TyLoo edge out Renegades

TyLoo have picked up their first victory at the Main Qualifier for PGL Major Krakow after defeating Renegades 16-14 on Cache.

Day two of the Major Main Qualifier continued with a rematch of the Asia Minor final, with TyLoo and Renegades facing the prospect of a second straight defeat. The match began with TyLoo taking the pistol round with an A execute thanks to a trio of kills from Zhen "⁠HZ⁠" Huang.

After winning both anti-ecos convincingly, TyLoo picked up the first full gun round, but then Renegades pulled one back following a trio of kills from Noah "⁠Nifty⁠" Francis with an AWP. The following round also went the Australians' way, but then TyLoo regained control of the game. Despite calling two tactical pauses, Renegades could not find a way to keep their opponents at bay as the Chinese team cruised to a 12-3 lead.

TyLoo are now 1-1 in Bucharest

Renegades emerged from the break looking livelier and secured the first six rounds to bring the scoreline to 12-9. TyLoo then won their first round as CT after finally getting some map control, with Hansel "⁠BnTeT⁠" Ferdinand pulling off a quad kill in A main in the following round. But the Australians refused to throw in the towel and went on another great run to reduce the gap to a minimum.

Following a tactical pause, TyLoo were able to hit match point on an eco round thanks to a stunning trio of Desert Eagle kills from HaoWen "⁠somebody⁠" Xu. Renegades would go on to win the following round, but they were unable to force overtime as a last-gasp effort from TyLoo earned them a hard-fought victory.

Nah mo is definitely a better awper than kaze. Kaze's inexperience showed when he played in the asia minor and also vs Tyloo and Mo's bad performance in the recent months was due to him being the IGL. I don't know who's igling now but mo is back. Plus with mo, he's the only chinese awper (besides savage) who has shown up internationally many times, he has more than proven himself and he's a clutch player, kaze couldn't even show up in the asia minor. As for savage, he's still stuck in chinese limbo land, he has the skill but it's just wasting away. Maybe a year or two ago when he was on VG cyberzen, if only he could have had a slot in Tyloo....well we'll never know. Also both mo and savage are good riflers who can hold their own.

Renegades is better than Dignitas current Optic Vega Squadron and so on ... Tyloo put Liquid to overtime remember, I know Liquid fucking sucked against Penta but Liquid is still a solid team

Actually there is no big difference between renegades and Vega based on the performance in last 2 games they played. But they are better than OG and Tengri

I would still say Renegades are on the same level as teams like Tyloo Liquid Cloud9 BIG Flipsid3 ect ... The games go down to the wire and it's so close!

Renegades is hard to judge because they seem to have close games with everyone but they just lack something to close it out. It can't even be blamed on experience anymore, most of them have been on the scene forever (veteran players like USTILO who was on immunity at a major before shouldn't be shitting the bed when it matters most, same goes for azr and jks who's been trying forever to qualify ever since the competition level has gone up) and they still don't got it. At this point, if they don't have it, they just don't have it. Maybe it's a little bit of mental weakness, maybe it's a small lack of skill or talent compared to the others, maybe it's something else, but in the end they are just not winners. Honestly I say most of this qualifier are all around the same level, the only one who stands out is G2 and maybe mouz but they are both inconsistent and shaky as well. I would say only tengri is a little behind everyone else ,even vega has come a long way and has improved greatly in their teamwork and individual skills, they are not to be underestimated.

Yeah i do agree with you, I think the 1 thing Renegades is missing is a leadership player, The have Kassad as coach but they don't really have a player like Spunj was who would just give them the motivation when they are down, and some mid round calls to adjust on what Kassad has said before the round, Nifty is juggling awping and igl and it must be hard on him, They have the raw skill to beat nearly anyone in CS currently they are just missing that leadership in game, Even mouz are inconsistent at times, I would say G2 is just the clear favorites like you don't see them not going to the major and everyone else apart from Tengri could make it, Vega and current Optic i don't' see making it but literally anyone else could, I can see Renegades and Dignitas/Immortals both getting the last 3 wins depending on who they play

thanks god that nifty isn't on fire like when it's on asia minor qualifier. And the good things is Mo and BnTeT consistently playing a good game

13-14 they push vs force through choke point without even flashing them like bots. Last round, jks's only job is watching B. He still got rekt by guy in B toxic, so he did literally nothing there and it very likely lost that round. On the other hand, they can be happy it was at least this close, their CT side was horrendous. Some of the ustilo misses will make it into clips...
