North, Na`Vi & OpTic grab victories at ESL One

In the last two matches of the 0-1 pool, North eased past TyLoo 16-6 on Inferno, while Natus Vincere sustained sextuple overtime versus Cloud9 on Train (34-32). The first match of the 1-0 pool saw OpTic going 2-0 following a 16-9 triumph over Space Soldiers on Mirage.

In another match of the 0-1 pool, North faced TYLOO on Inferno, with the latter starting as Terrorists and getting off to a 5-1 start.

After saving three weapons twice after losing the B bombsite, the Danes woke up with René "cajunb" Borg putting up solid numbers to win six rounds in a row. Hansel "BnTeT" Ferdinand's triple then gave TYLOO their sixth, but North still switched over with a respectable 9-6 scoreline on the CT side.

North sent TyLoo to the 0-2 pool

With the second pistol going their way as well, Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen and company proceeded to power through the Chinese without breaking a sweat, sweeping TYLOO with seven rounds in a row for a 16-6 victory.

In the other match, Natus Vincere got off to a flying start on the Terrorist side of Train, securing the first pistol round and breaking Cloud9 after the first two gunrounds.

After Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács's squad got to a 9-2 lead, the Americans got their defense together and won four consecutive rounds with everyone pitching in, switching over with six in total.

Cloud9 continued their streak on the Terrorist side with a pistol round and the first gunround to clinch their first lead in the match. Ioann "Edward" Sukhariev and Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev then put up doubles on the A site, while GuardiaN pitched in with a triple to help Natus Vincere regain the lead at 12-11.

seized & co. overcome Cloud9 after six overtimes

The American roster then used a timeout and won two rounds in a row, with Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert grabbing a triple along the way, to send Natus Vincere on an eco. At 12-14, GuardiaN stepped up with a triple in a 2v3, helping his squad equalize the score. Cloud9 opted for an eco round, which put Na`Vi on match point, but Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham clutched a 1v2 in the last round to push the game to overtime.

Skadoodle continued to deliver in the overtime with an ace in the second round, helping Cloud9 secure 2-1 on the T side. Na`Vi were up against two match points following doubles from Jake "Stewie2K" Yip and Timothy "autimatic" Ta, but an ace from Egor "flamie" Vasilyev and a 1v1 clutch from s1mple equalized it at 18-18.

Cloud9 once again put up two rounds in the first half, this time starting as CT, but Natus Vincere replied with two of their own on the defense to push for third overtime. There, both teams once again picked up two rounds on the CT side to make it 24-24 as the match went into the fourth overtime.

That time, Natus Vincere clinched two rounds on the offense, but Cloud9 once again matched them for 27-27. The fifth overtime was still not enough, as each team grabbed two on the CT side, but the sixth finally decided it with Natus Vincere grabbing two as Terrorists thanks to Edward's 1v4 clutch and closing it out on the defense at 34-32.

Space Soldiers and OpTic, both of whom won their first matches, faced on Mirage in the second round of the Swiss system group stage at ESL One Cologne 2017. The Turkish team won the first three rounds of the half but OpTic managed to take the A-site in the first weapon round to trail 1-3.

Space Soldiers reset the economy of the North Americans and OpTic returned the favor immediately (2-4). OpTic came back to win the half 9-6.

Space Soldiers won the second half pistol round and tied the game at 9-9 after winning two anti-ecos. OpTic repeated what they did in the first half, winning the first weapon round (10-9). The North American squad stood strong on the CT-side and won the map 16-9 for a 2-0 record in Cologne, while Space Soldiers have a 1-1 record.

Y'all kids are talking shit about shroud and I am here to do something about it. Have you ever seen such a GREAT support player like SHROUD? Have you seen every single kill set up by SHROUD for his teammates? Y'all think that shroud should retire? Think twice because Cloud9 is being run singlehandedly by SHROUD. Every kill is planned meticulously by SHROUD, setting them up for his team to kill. Every single execute smoke and flash is thrown by SHROUD. Without SHROUD Cloud9 would not even be in Top 10 NA. Think twice again before talking shit about SHROUD again kids.

Na`Vi are really bad! They don't work like a team, they peak 1 by 1, they never check the common hiding spots, it's a shame. Kick seized, he's useless as both a player and an IGL. Bring Zeus back. Edward is slow, although his crosshair control is still good enough, it takes noticably long for him to actually react at his enemy's appearing on his screen. Cloud9 please merge with Liquid and create a superteam like G2 and EnVyUs did. New Na`Vi: Zeus GuardiaN s1mple flam1e HObbit/electronic New Cloud9: stanislaw Skadoodle Twistzz automatic ELiGE FaZe, buy GuardiaN please. Then Na`Vi will use s1mple as a dedicated AWPer and pick both HObbit and electronic.
