G2 to playoffs after beating SK

The map started off with the CT side, SK, taking the pistol round as an opening frag by Gabriel "⁠FalleN⁠" Toledo followed up by doubles by Fernando "⁠fer⁠" Alvarenga and João "⁠felps⁠" Vasconcellos gave the Brazilians the round. The anti-eco went their way as well, as they cleaned the map without a single loss. On the first force buy by G2, though, the French side were able to get on the board.

G2 took the lead, 3-2, but a 2v1 clutch and defuse by FalleN in the sixth round gave his team the round, after which they would go and win several rounds in a row for a 7-3 lead thanks to a big triple by fer in the eighth round which put G2 in an eco. In the eleventh round, FalleN kept the wall up, as a close range triple with the AWP stopped the French team on their tracks.

shox & co. were able to edge out SK on the CT side

Despite trailing 3-8, G2 finally got a couple rounds on the board, after winning 2vs2 and 2vs3 after plants, and forcing SK on an eco of their own. After trailing 6-9, G2 won the second pistol round, and tied the match, 9-9, after winning the anti-ecos.

SK wasn’t ready to give the lead up quite yet, though, as they took the first gun round. G2 weren’t about to let SK run away, though, and late frags by Kenny "⁠kennyS⁠" Schrub and Nathan "⁠NBK-⁠" Schmitt, rotating from the A site to B in the twentieth round, stopped the Brazilians from planting the bomb, thus bringing it back to 10-10.

After trading rounds, it was finally G2 who were able to put up the wall, and take a few rounds in a row. SK called a timeout when down 11-14 to try and revert the situation, but G2 were finally able to close it out, 16-11, to clinch a spot in the playoffs.
