G2 come back against Na`Vi; go 1-0

G2 managed a huge comeback against Natus Vincere on Overpass, recovering from a 12-3 first half deficit to go 1-0 in Krakow.

The first pistol round of Overpass went the way of Natus Vincere, who shut down the B site attack thanks to three USP-S headshots that were handed out by Oleksandr "⁠s1mple⁠" Kostyliev. The pistol win was followed up by three more round wins, putting Natus Vincere 4-0 up.

A chaotic A site offensive lead to Kenny "⁠kennyS⁠" Schrub being in a 1v2 situation, but with the AWP in his hands, the Frenchman was able to clutch it out to put G2 on the board. The following round didn't go their way though, as late deployment of the utility stopped G2's attack on A and caused a reset of the French team's ecnomy.

An unorganized force-buy round in the middle of the first half paid out for G2, making the score 8-2, but no momentum could be built as s1mple proceeded to shut them down with a triple AWP kill in the bathroom area.

G2 pulled off an unlikely comeback against Natus Vincere

Finishing the CT half 12-3 up, and with s1mple and Ioann "⁠Edward⁠" Sukhariev both racking up more than 20 kills in the first 15 rounds, the CIS side swapped to the offensive side. The second pistol round went the way G2, allowing the Frenchmen to finally tie some rounds together by cleaning up the anti-eco's.

Natus Vincere were on the brink of breaking G2's round winning streak when Dan "⁠apEX⁠" Madesclaire was able to clutch out a 1v2 on the A site and defuse the bomb in time—despite not having a kit—and made it 12-7. kennyS's quad-kill gave his team another round, but Natus Vincere were finally able to pick up their first on the Terrorist side by overwhelming the B site after gaining some map control.

With the score at 13-10, G2 managed to secure the following, crucial round, but Natus Vincere saved a couple of guns, including an AWP for Ladislav "⁠GuardiaN⁠" Kovács, and that is exactly what unlocked them the next round, making it 14-10. The French still didn't give up, locking down the advances towards the sites and tying up the score at 14-14.

What looked extremely unlikely after the first half ended up happening, G2 closed out the last two rounds and took the win over Natus Vincere on the first day of PGL Major Krakow.

Great comeback from G2 Esports to defeat Natus Vincere and advance to the second Swiss Round with a 1-0 record. Alexandre 'bodyy' Pianaro and Denis 'seized' Kostin weren't performing as well as the other 8 players on the server, but the game managed to remain exciting and suspenseful.

I would say G2 need to return their well-hitting duo from nV, but their main problem is lacking any new ideas other than "ok let's run and shoot and may be overaim our enemies". Like in 2016, G2 had a couple of strong tournaments, and then everybody figured them out and G2 became shit. Sadly their numerous shuffles can barely fix anything, they need finally a good leader with lots of ideas. G2's T side is painful to watch. Their only chance to win is winning every separate duel, as I said: "let's overaim our enemies, because our MM-level strats can overwit nobody". I feel like they won't change anything, they're similar to fnatic, and they seem like loving it. Any other heavy-hitting team, but with a proper leadership, will easily defeat G2 at every possible tournament, and it sucks, because the more T1 teams there are - the more interesting it is to watch the competitive CS, which now is predictable in almost 100% of cases. Na`Vi have the same problem - no decent IGL. -GuardiaN +Zeus please, s1mple is fine with the AWP, while GuardiaN is too inconsistent and thus useless. When Edward stops hitting his shots, they can replace him with electronic, keeping seized as a support player. I'm extremely glad Edward practised his aim enough after his shameful duel against shox (M4 vs glock, shox almost killed Edward with that glock, Edward hit only 1 time), but his age skill slump will come anyway, and they should be ready for it. Or now -seized +electronic. Please guys, fix your shit ASAP, we need more strong teams rather than just SK and Astralis.

If ScreaM did well at their last major. xD I think only NBK hates ScreaM that much, the others just didn't care, and since shox did want to play with NBK, he was ready to do everything NBK could ask him for. SmithZz is a long-term boyfriend of shox, and bodyy is just a new guy that can't make such decisions + he obviously wanted to play with kennyS and shox rather than to leave them just not to kick ScreaM, thus ScreaM was doomed. But although I'm sure kicking ScreaM was a mistake, I'm also sure than G2 would not be much better even with ScreaM, because they just need an IGL that will allow shox to do what he does best.

4 of these guys have more than 600 maps together(flamie is almost getting to 600). S1mple had a lot of time to adapt to them as well. But their setups and mid game calls have been horrible. I know the players aren't stepping up how they should individually and consistently, except for s1mple, but still... this match they lost against G2 tells a lot. They need to change seized, one of them will end up realizing they have to either start igling and get a better player or get a better igl. Because it has been so much time. More than 600 maps, like I said

There is only 2 guys. Blad3 and Zeus so lets start with blade, he is a great tactician and has a lot of experience but he cant frag that much and in todays cs you cant win if you only have 4 people that can consistently frag just look at sk you need tactics and frag potential. Lets move to Zeus so he is on the contract for gambit and i dont think that gambit whould allow him to go navi and for zeus well he was backstabbed by the team that he put everything into it and was from 1.6 beginning indont think he wants to be there anymore. So other igls , there is no one else there so navi shot their selves in the foot.
