Astralis beat Immortals in overtime

Astralis have picked up their first victory at PGL Major Krakow following a 19-17 win over Immortals on Overpass.

The last match of the day started with the Brazilian side picking up the pistol round with an A execution as Terrorists. Astralis could not do much in the eco rounds, but after buying up they managed to equalise the score.

Immortals kept falling short against by their opponents' strats, forcing them to call for a tactical pause after losing their fifth round in a row. Despite not being able to grab the following one thanks to a 1v2 clutch from Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander, the Brazilians halted their opponents' momentum with a three-round streak to bring the scoreline to a 6-6 stalemate. Still, it was Astralis who got the lead before switching sides as they won the last final rounds of the first half.

gla1ve and co. managed to close out the game in overtime

Now as Counter-Terrorists, Nicolai "device" Reedtz and co. easily got out to a 12-6 lead after winning the pistol round and the corresponding anti-ecos. Then, Immortals won the first full gun round thanks to a triple-kill from Vito "kNgV-" Giuseppe with the AWP in a retake situation, inspiring his team to reduce the deficit to 9-12 and to break Astralis' economy.

Despite winning the next two rounds, the first of which armed with nothing but pistols, the Danish fivemen would lose to a semi-buy as well, with Henrique "HEN1" Teles stepping up for his team with a trio of kills with a Scout. From that point, Immortals took control of the game and eventually reached match point with a six-round streak. However, Astralis managed to finally break through their opponents' defence to take the game to overtime.

The first half of overtime ended with Immortals securing a 2-1 advantage, with Astralis' round coming on the back of a triple-kill from Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen. The Danes then put up a flawless CT display to secure a hard-fought victory.

its to break the other team momentum tho, every time that Immortals put some rounds together Astralis would call for a tech pause, i expected Astralis to stomp IMM but that was shady as fuck by Astralis.

Do some collection of these moments and show me, would love to see them. And it makes more sense when you remember that immortals is a very emotional team. Ps. Didn't actually watch most of the match

sk was suffering against penta and could have lost that game, and penta is without doubt weaker than immortals.

16-13 is a normal score, but a very close score. and sk was up 10-0 at one point. on paper sk should have won that game 16-5ish.

I honestly think that these "TECH PAUSES" need to be more clear for the viewers. At least on majors and 250k tournaments, there should be a rule where they should write on the screen exactly why the tech pause was needed and what is happening. Also, booths should be obligatory, along with not wearing caps. All these fishy situations need to stop, make it 100% transparent for the fans.

PGL trust level is close to none. WP Immortals, if wasn't the tech issues always happening in crucial moments (like the screens shitty in IMT win streak) i think it would be totally possible. Edit: I miss ELEAGUE, MLG and ESL. No more PGL, please

If Astralis suffered to win a very fishy OT against Immortals, then they no chance to win a BO3 against SK. And I also think they might lose to Faze.

Oh yeah Every time IMT get a round streak it is tech issues, man fuck you astralis and fuck PGL too..i miss MLG and ELEAGUE
