BIG survive lengthy battle against Cloud9 in Krakow

BIG have secured their second win in as many matches at the PGL Major Krakow 2017 after defeating Cloud9 16-11 on Inferno.

Cloud9 and BIG faced off on Inferno in the second round of the Swiss stage after both of them won their first games. Cloud9 who started on the CT-side won the pistol round but BIG were able to plant the bomb. With the money they earned from the plant, BIG executed on the A-site in the second round and made it 1-1.

BIG won eight rounds in a row to lead 8-1 before Cloud9 could answer with a 2vs3 win (8-2). However, the economy of Cloud9 was reset when they lost the following round as BIG took the A-site. Tyler "⁠Skadoodle⁠" Latham's quad kill in the fourteenth round gave Cloud9 their third round and they went on to trail 3-12 at halftime.

BIG picked up their second win in Krakow

BIG started their CT-side by getting three opening kills in the pistol round but Timothy "⁠autimatic⁠" Ta's double entry allowed for a bomb plant. Then, Skadoodle clutched a 1vs2 to win the round, making it 12-4. Cloud9 made it 12-6 after winning the anti-ecos. After this round, the match wasn't streamed because of internet issues.

The off-camera action continued more than half an hour later with BIG winning the first weapon round of the second half (13-6). BIG then reached to fifteen rounds to earn nine match points and the German squad won the match 16-11 and improved their record at the Major to 2-0.

Never said its just big at fault for using it. Ultimately its valves fault for not fixing it. I would argue that even if legal in the tournament, people rather see no teams use it than all teams use it. Big is part of the problem as they use it, forcing others to do so as well even if they did not want to do so.

They used it in the first game as well that wasn't against BiG what is your excuse when C9 used this bug against North? and yes North also used this bug in that game as well, every team is using it because it's in the game... It's not a cheat, Valve didn't even care enough to fix it which means its completely legit to use this bug on the major cry is free.

I'm not being a fanboy, but I really think that right now (if Astralis, Faze and G2 can play their A game) the scene is competitive. We might enter a boring era if the other teams let SK win everything, and that would be very sad.

What is your criteria for a competitive era, because I'd say the parity between teams is closer than it's been in a long fucking time, which sort of invalidates your stance. A non-competitive era would indicate that there was a single team always winning, which hasn't been the case for a good while.

Teams are not close, there is one team SK who are dominating and the other teams are all random. SK won what 5 Lans in a row or some shit? Top 4 every single event and mostly only getting to finals it's similar to Fnatic era except Fnatic actually had competition.

With Faze being an outlier now due to the Major, for the past few months it's been Astralis, SK and Faze. While SK won a bunch of events in a row, some didn't include much competition by comparison. The problem was Astralis haven't really been in most of the events with SK, which has been the problem, but SK isn't immune to losing now (unlike, say, NiP or fnatic for a while there).

Its so nice to see how BIG progressed since their creation six months ago. I have so much respect for gob b outsmarting top teams like FaZe and Cloud9 even though his team has much less firepower. I can finally be proud to be a german on HLTV.

shroud had 70-150 fps throughout the whole match cause PGL forgot to install drivers for graphic card... so this match was lost in the first place and in my opinion it should be replayed.

Due to delays players barely got enough time to warm up on the pc's yesterday, today will probably have been the same. It's boot up cs, join server, 15s countdown practically. Pretty hard to properly test your hardware then mate..

Aside from the fact the admin in the server should've immediately picked up on that comment and fixed it, which means shroud obviously mentioned it before the game started. Read some rumors the admins didn't want to fix it because they were already behind on schedule. Wouldn't suprise me at this point from PGL, but it's just a rumor.
