FlipSid3 have eliminated FaZe at the PGL Major Krakow with a 16-10 scoreline on Mirage as the CIS team carried out one of the most shocking upsets in Major history.

FlipSid3 and FaZe met on Mirage in the second elimination match at the PGL Major Krakow as both teams couldn't win their first games. Aleksi "⁠allu⁠" Jalli's triple kill in the pistol round gave his CT-sided team the pistol round but the European team lost a 4vs2 in the second round.

Andrey "⁠B1ad3⁠" Gorodenskiy's team had a near-perfect T-side plan and eleven rounds in a row. FaZe woke up towards the end of the first half but FlipSid3 led 11-4 at halftime.

Jan "⁠wayLander⁠" Rahkonen picked up a quad kill on the B-site in the pistol round to make it 12-4 and a patient retake in the following round meant that FlipSid3 led 13-4. Although FaZe won a round to get their first round and started a comeback effort, FlipSid3 went on to win the match 16-10 and eliminated FaZe with Denis "⁠electroNic⁠" Sharipov's 1vs2 clutch.

They played beautiful cs at that event. I don't know what is happening behind the scenes but they might be trying to change their style of play too much. I think they should just try to play off good basic teamwork with of course some starts.

I also doubt jw would join the sinking ship, but he looks like the best choice, although this choice is almost impossible. Sadly FaZe have no options to really improve. NiKo won a tournament and almost defeated SK after that, he won't join a team that can never even get to the finals at a big tournament. mouz suxx, mouz is a T2 team and nothing will change that. rain to nordic team? Again, you won't join a team with no T1 future after you were in such a team for any period of time. Recall twist for example - he played many years and didn't care, but then fnatic picked him and he started to want something bigger than just taking part in tournaments, that's why he's so much mad when GODSENT lose. The only decent option for NiKo is -shroud +NiKo. For rain - pretty much no options. kio is needed by no one in G2, lol, they even kicked heavy-hitting ScreaM, they won't pick a guy that can't win any duel. I doubt that even LDLC would kick anybody to pick kio.

The same can be said about pretty much every team, except for SK may be. G2, Astralis. But you know what? OpTic were dominant at just one tournament, while G2, Astralis and FaZe dominance lasted much longer, which means it was not just a fluke. To me it looks s1mple: allu has no impact in a game where AWPers often make difference, look at SK FalleN for example. And kio loses every duel, making FaZe play it 4v5. They need guys that hit their shots. Fuck, even rain went -10 against Flipsid3, it's inapplicable.

God damn, hltv kids still continue with the -allu bullshit. He has literally never been the problem for FAZE and almost NEVER bottom frags. But because he's from Finland, a very small country with very few fans and without an "explosive" playstyle that these 12 year olds want to see he's always the problem. He was arguably the second best player in this major behind Niko. He doesn't have a flashy awp, but he gets the kills and that's what matters. He's a good team player. Allu, Rain, and Niko are not enough though at this level. Kerrigan played awful and I rarely suggest making any changes but Kio has been consistently poor for literally months now. Kerrigan has got to begin fragging again and I honestly think Scream would be a car better fit than Kio. Another player who would fit well would be Elige... Even Pimp would be an improvement over Kio. Sad result. Faze will be back with a vengeance I would think.

Great comment. underage kids just dont understand. they want highlight players and fast flicks. allu had overrall really good tournament. kio had such a underwheling performance on ct sides. he lost the sites without any impact. and faze had to go so many retakes and for saves. karrigan is soon becomming the next pronax. the igl who cant frag. also he is 28 year old. i think faze has lost some trust to karrigan now. just like astralis players did. his insane vetoes, (why pick mirage against f3) why? and some really bad calls lost countless of rounds. also he loses every fucking aimduel he takes.

that's not an excuse. i'm not a faze fanboy i just prefer skill over drama. a bo3 is conclusive evidence for who is the better team a bo1 is just perfect for upsets and viewers. the scene suffers from it. i don't mind the bo1 groups but elimination by bo1 is so stupid. i would hate SK being eliminated by bo1 as well.

Lol I'm done with this played shit on 2 out of 3 maps = stepped it up, since NiKo joined this team Rain has been inconsistent and shit and he isn't a star player anymore, his impact is way lower than it used to be and you can see this team has no strats or tactics they just try to out aim people when NiKo is the only real aimer on this team.

Allu is a great player, but i still think oskar would be an uppgrade, bigger carry abilities... But then again, would it hurt the team chemistry? Kio has too seldom high impact games and valde who is free agent could be a better replacement. I would love to see tabsen instead of kio, but that wont happen. Give it another tournament.. They might bounce back. But frankly, karrigan is no tatical genius and when they are not on point aimwise,their tactics and teamwork isnt good enough to rely on. Meaning they will never hit the stabile level of SK.

Stop hating on Kio animals, the guy has the hardest role to play in cs. He pretty much carried them in the previous tours together with Niko. It happens that everyone has a bad tour, including him. Allu is not hitting at all, so he's pretty much an issue together with rain and Karrigan. Seems strats are outdated, and 2 of the fragpower are on a slump (Rain, Allu)
