fnatic eliminate G2 from Major; to playoffs

fnatic have booked their spot in the PGL Major Krakow playoffs after defeating G2 16-10 on Overpass.

The first match of the fifth Swiss round saw fnatic prevail in a back-and-forth pistol round thanks to a a triple-kill from Robin "⁠flusha⁠" Rönnquist as Terrorist before racking up a series of gun rounds, forcing G2 to call a tactical pause when they were down 6-0.

It was only then that G2 finally responded with a round of their own. Then, despite losing twice against pistols, Olof "⁠olofmeister⁠" Kajbjer's squad would continue to wreak havoc in G2's CT-side to eventually secure a dominant 11-4 half-time lead.

Now on the attacking side, Richard "⁠shox⁠" Papillon's men reduced the deficit by securing the pistol round and the respective anti-ecos, and won three of the next four rounds to being the deficit to 10-12. fnatic then picked themselves up and strung a few rounds of their own, breaking the Frenchmen's economy before closing out the map, 16-10.

I start to love to repeat this: ScreaM was the problem! xD Now seriously: apEX! Dude, being emo is not something that helps to focus on playing! Now I understand why he's so inconsistent - you should not let your emotions rule, and for sure his crying face and disappointing shouts shatter his team's mood and the others also lose their focus, especially kennyS, may be also shox. NBK is always the same, bodyy seems like too, the others should be similar in this respect. I'm glad that fnatic are in the playoffs, but G2, why? shox, what are you doing? If you focus on the run'n'gun style - may be your players are far from coldzera and fer level, and you need to choose something different - either strats or players? Give apEX a tranquilizer, pay for a slut for kennyS, but make these guys calm down finally, because when they lose a round they look like they lose the whole tournament, it should not be like that. shox, without your heavy fragging G2 can achieve nothing, you're the only world-class rifler in this team, build the team around yourself and kennyS, and since you kicked your madfragger - do something to apEX, NBK and bodyy, they should win more duels; kennyS should also change something about himself, because he turned from a top sniper that could always make the difference to just an OK sniper that hits what he should but fails to do something special when the others can't do shit. No match for SK at this tournament. It's sad.

WEll said. Far from "super team" imho. Their inconsistency thru time also proves that. 2 players that are great/good doesnt make a team super.

Glad to see fnatic make it through. Aside from F3, all their wins were hard-earned. As for G2, they just got screwed over by the draws. They deserve it much more than IMM or F3.

Why? Because top teams aren't legends? That is pure coincidence, someone has to lose and someone has to win, and teams like G2, FaZe and NaVi lost their games.

It's only a guess, but may be they should create their own org? I mean, they get so frustrated after losing just a round or a couple of rounds, if there is so much pressure from the G2 org and they're afraid of losing their job and salary, may be it's better to create something like Astralis or BIG and do whatever you want? If it's not the issue, then the only explanation is your guys overhyping them. I mean, they gathered the best French players and you made them believe that they became a top team by just taking those players, and they now really expect too much from themselves and it pressures too much at them? If this is the case - then they should give themselves enough space for errors, calm down and start enjoying the very playing this game, then the results may come. If shox can't really figure out how to use his players, may be it's time for Ex6TenZ? I know, NBK hates his way of setting everything up, and shox thinks that he himself knows everything much better than Ex6TenZ does, but seriously, if it doesn't work out - then there are only 2 ways to change things - to pick ScreaM or to pick a dedicated strat-maker and let him do this job.

Shox hasn't made playoffs for the last 6 majors which is crazy. To be honest, G2 were terrible in this tournament. The format has nothing to do with it, they probably would have lost to Immortals too. Flipside they might have beaten.

French cs was at its best when shox & happy played together... Just saying. shox happy kennys bodyy scream, give shox a second entry like scream and bodyy following. I'm sad we got G2 reshuffled when they just needed a real awper like kennyS.
