GuardiaN and seized step down from Natus Vincere

Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács and Denis "seized" Kostin have stepped down from Natus Vincere's active roster, the organization announced on the website.

The move comes as aftermath of Natus Vincere's mixed results this year, such as group stage exits at DreamHack Open Tours, ESL Pro League Season 5 Finals, and most recently the PGL Major, where the organization lost its Legends status which they held since ESL One Cologne 2014.

According to Na`Vi's release, Ladislav "⁠GuardiaN⁠" Kovács and Denis "⁠seized⁠" Kostin have been placed on the transfer list while they retain their contract with the organization for the time being. While the latter hasn't commented on his future, GuardiaN tweeted two days ago that if a change was coming, the decision would be his own.

Only Edward remains from Na`Vi's core that played together since late 2013

Both of the departing players have been long-standing members of Na`Vi's active roster, with the Russian reaching nearly four years with the organization, while the Slovakian AWPer arrived in December 2013.

During their time in Natus Vincere, the two players garnered several trophies, including the first season of ESL Pro League, IEM San José, and ESL One New York, among others, as well as runners-up finishes at two consecutive Majors, DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca and MLG Columbus.

Natus Vincere are left with the following players:

Oleksandr "⁠s1mple⁠" Kostyliev
Egor "⁠flamie⁠" Vasilyev

Andriy "⁠Andi⁠" Prokhorov (coach)

There's more than skill involved as well. If you watch the interviews you can see that the team has been on the verge of disbanding several times, because some players aren't fully committed. Guardian is 100% one of those players. He himself said that he played other games too much and didn't put enough hours into CS. If having one of the biggest salaries in esports isn't enough motivation to fully commit then you should fuck off and allow someone else in.

Talking about NAVI the 1st thing they will look for is a good in game leader. There are not many choices as they will peak someone from russia or Ukraine which means Zeus, B1ad3 or Ange1. Ange1 is the better choice as i don't see zeus leaving gambit after winning a major. I have no idea who would be the fifth thought. Apart from gambit players i don't see leaving after PGL, Electronic sounds like a good choice to me but they could also pick someone like mir even though it's a bit of a risky move.

He's a dedicated support player ever since he left/kicked from Astana Dragons. His game sense is still intact. I think if he really wants to awp again, he can be pretty good. Tier 1? Probably not. In 1.6, markeloff was a late bloomer, he only peaked in 2009 when he's been around for quite some time before that. If he puts his mind into CS:GO like he used to in 1.6, only sky is the limit.

It still looks stupid. seized has never been a good IGL, of course he failed to become the one, but they still kicked him, even though GuardiaN left by himself and therefore Na`Vi had enough space to pick an IGL in his stead! I mean, -GuardiaN +ANGE1 for example, and seized would come back to his usual role that he played well! OK, GuardiaN wanted to leave, but seized didn't, and since you need an IGL - pick one, why to kick seized??? Is it a kind of punishment or what? No logic.

I dont like s1mple having to be forced to be a primary riffler or 2ndary AWPer very specifically. imo , s1mple should be allowed to be the primary AWPer because when he wants to awp he can be the best AWPer in the world, and he is also a star with riffles, but it has to be all when he feels like. Im glad they kicked GuardiaN, they are all gonna benefit cuz GuardiaN is gonna get that sweet 25k per month salary in FaZe lol

i bet ANGEl and electronic/mir will be signed. ANGEl is 100% choice of Na`Vi, because there is no other CIS igl on tier1 level(besides Zeus) & they have no time for experiements with talented IGLS, who are still average players, like jR or blade. ANGEl is both good IGL and skilled player.

ange1 is shit IGl. he proved 0 for so many years being IGL. he is good individually, but he don't know how to win huge games, majors, finals etc. i mean there are no proofs him did that too much.

because he does not have tier1 teammates, bondik & styko used to be good, but they have been underperforming for a last year, getting outaimed by some tier3-4 teams, the whole HR roster is just average tier2 team. I mean look at BIG or Luminosity - they were dark horses with average results, BIG wasnt even tier2 team, but they have shown fantastic performance & IGLS have shined on the last major. Zeus also was shit till the major and zeus has also been very bad fragger. HR used to beat big teams in the past, and the most important part is that ANGEl wont be bottom fragging. Fallen is one of the best players in the world and he has an IGL role, ANGEl is simillar, he just does not have coldzera and fer on the team)

he had tier1 teammates since 1.6 and in GO also. Craft1k, Kucher(he used to be AWPGOD), markeloff (no need to say smth), Dosia, AdreN, Edward... these all are tier1 players. and he did shit. he is shit igl in fact. and he is loser who kicks players from his roster and steal other players from other rosters. he don't know how to win something huge. Zeus >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ange1. B1ad3's strats and approach is 150 y.o. the only 1 player who can fit in Na`Vi as IGL again is Starix.

didn't ange1 win one of the first bo3 on lan vs NiP? i also thought he didn't have it in him anymore after 2015 yet he still assembled a team that played very well (HR). you may be right in some points but ange1 he crawled back into relevance on his own power and he deserves the chance in na'vi. think about it. ange1 is a born leader and he can manage flamie and especially s1mple. they got coaches for elaborate strats but he is in so much aspects an upgrade to seized as IGL and well zeus in na'vi just didn't have much potential anymore despite they were always 3rd-4th best team.
