North and Splyce join WESA

Danish organization North and United States-based Splyce have joined the World Esports Association (WESA) as its newest full members, the association announced earlier today.

As "another step toward professionalizing esports", North and Splyce have joined WESA which now includes 14 full members, after the association joined forces with OpTic, FaZe, SK and Renegades earlier this year.

The Danish organization field the lineup that is currently ranked eighth in our World Ranking, with the active roster incomplete at the moment following the benching of Emil "Magisk" Reif.

North and Splyce become WESA's two newest full members

Splyce currently have an incomplete team in their ranks as well. Since the United States based organization parted ways with Arya "arya" Hekmat and Ronnie "ryx" Bylicki in late June, the squad around Kory "SEMPHIS" Friesen have appeared inactive, looking for replacements.

"Since the debut of North earlier this year, we have taken steps to grow our organization's awareness within the esports industry. We are excited for the opportunity to join WESA and continue leaving our footprint in the esports world," North's Chief Gaming Officer, Jacob Toft-Andersen, said in a statement.

"This is an exciting time for team owners, as we are able to work together to continue advancing the infrastructure and sustainability of this industry for our staff, players and shareholders.

"Working with the storied teams that make up WESA was an obvious choice for us at Splyce, as it gives us the opportunity to work on projects that can have a huge impact on the entirety of esports alongside owners who are as passionate and dedicated as we are." - Splyce's CEO, Marty Strenczewilk, said in WESA's release.

Below are the 14 members of WESA:

United Kingdom fnatic Ukraine Natus Vincere  United States EnVyUs
Spain G2 Russia Virtus.pro Germany mousesports
Sweden NiP United States FaZe Germany ESL
Germany SK United States Renegades United States OpTic

your welcome. I am very lazy but you could probably find out if you used google. there was conflict of interest found with them being involved with teams in their own events or something like that shady

hltv.org/events/2636/esl-one-new-york-20.. While its completely understandable that VP, NaVi and SK should be invited to big events it still seems a bit suspicious that ESL invites three teams with the same owner always to their events and they all are a part of WESA.

Because the org is British? All the flags next to the teams in this post represent the org NOT the nationalities of the players that play for them.
