91Lounge Cup #1 set to start

91Lounge released details about their upcoming CS:GO cup, in which eight Asian teams will compete for a $6,000 prize pool.

The team list for the 91Lounge Cup #1 was filled out exclusively through invites, with six Chinese teams, such as Flash, UYA and ViCi making the cut alongside The MongolZ and the newly assembled international squad 5POWER.

Machinegun will face two of his former teammates in the 91Lounge Cup #1: dobu (5POWER) and kabal (UYA)

A BO1 round-robin group stage will kick off the competition, with the matches being played on August 15-23. When the first phase is done, the four best-ranked teams will continue to the double-elimination BO3 playoffs, which will be played on August 26-27.

The prize pool of $6,000 will be split in the following way:

1. $3,000
2. $1,500
3-4. $750
