EPICENTER 2017 Open qualifiers revealed

Epic Esports Events has announced more details about the qualifying process for EPICENTER 2017.

The road to EPICENTER 2017, a $500,000 event that will be held in St. Petersburg, will begin on September 2 with the open qualifiers, held in four different regions: Europe, the CIS, the Americas and China.

The top teams from the open qualifiers will then progress to a closed qualifier stage, held from September 11 to October 1. In the end, one team per region will travel to St. Petersburg to compete in a wild-card stage on October 23, with two spots in EPICENTER's main tournament up for grabs.

Registration for the open qualifiers is now open

SK and Astralis were officially confirmed by Epic Esports Events on Thursday, despite the fact that a teaser released the day before suggested that FaZe and Gambit have also been invited. The names of the other six participating teams will be released only after September 10, according to the event's organisers.
