NiP confirmed at IEM Oakland

Ninjas in Pyjamas have secured an invite to IEM Oakland, ESL has announced.

The Swedish team, who are currently ranked seventh in the world, have been granted the final invite to the tournament, in which they will be joining eight other invitees and three qualified sides.

Ninjas in Pyjamas won the 2016 edition of IEM Oakland after beating SK in the final, at a time when Adam "⁠friberg⁠" Friberg and Jacob "⁠pyth⁠" Mourujärvi were both still on the roster.

NiP return to Oakland after winning last year's event

IEM Oakland will run from November 16-19 at the Oracle Arena, with $300,000 on the line. The final three spots in the tournament will be filled through qualifiers, held in Europe, North America and Southeast Asia.

With Ninjas in Pyjamas's addition, the team list for IEM Oakland is now the following:

Won Oakland last year, top 8 and top 4 in last 2 fully stacked events. Why would they not be one of 9 invited teams? I assume you want North, and they should be there I agree, but not instead of NIP, remove C9/Liquid/IMT for north.

No still no actual arguments, not even who you think should be there instead and why? I'm not a fanboy but you clearly are just a hater. I presented my arguments for why the NIP roster since adding rez has enough results to be one of nine invited teams, their worst finish was quarterfinals at cologne (top 8). How is that not enough for an invite, and who should have it instead?

And didn't you read my post, I agree they should be there, but not instead of NIP, they both deserve a spot! The teams that you should question is most of all Liquid, after that C9 and to some extent IMT.
