mousesports to ESG final over Virtus.pro

mousesports clinched the first spot in the final after beating Virtus.pro, 2-1. The European combine won Overpass, 16-6 and Train, 16-14, while the Poles took Cache, 16-14.

The clash between MOUZ and Virtus.pro started with the European team taking the pistol round on the terrorist side, and followed it up with two anti-ecos. The Polish side fought back, winning three gun rounds in a row to tie it up, followed by MOUZ linking three rounds of their own before Filip "NEO" Kubski, with a triple, could break the streak.

Ultimately it was MOUZ that took the lead going into the half, 9-6, including a 1vs3 by Robin "ropz" Kool on the B site in the last round before switching sides. The Estonian’s squad then won the second pistol round, and got ahead by six rounds after the anti-ecos, 12-6. Virtus.pro didn’t throw the towel, though, and gave up only two rounds out of ten to bring it back to 14-14. In the end, the Poles were able to seal the deal and mount the comeback.

Overpass started with a 2-for-1 trade in favor of Virtus.pro, but a quick triple by Tomáš "oskar" Šťastný, who also picked up the last frag of the round to make it a quad, turned the round on its head and gave MOUZ the advantage out of the gate.

After the anti-ecos, which went the way of MOUZ, and the first gun rounds, Virtus.pro and the European team ended up at 5-5, with MOUZ going into the 11th round on an eco. Then, oskar got four kills, two with p250s and two with AKs, to keep his team ahead and put Virtus.pro in a bad economic situation, allowing the Martin "STYKO" Styk & co. to close the half ahead, 9-6.

mousesports' terrorist side on Train gave them the third map and a spot in the final

MOUZoskar got a triple in the second pistol round, giving his team the fourth out of four pistol rounds won in two maps. Once again, MOUZ found themselves in exactly the same place as they were on Cache, leading 12-6 in the second half. This time, MOUZ were able to close it out without giving up a round, 16-6, to take it to a third map.

Once again, MOUZ got to a flying start in the third map, winning the fifth pistol round in a row—this time on the CT side—, with doubles by oskar and Miikka "suNny" Kemppi. Virtus.pro won the third round, the first one they bought, and the following anti-eco, to bring it to 2-2. With 4-4 on the board, a lengthy technical pause ensued. When the match was restarted, it was Virtus.pro who got ahead and closed the first half, 9-6.

Virtus.pro finally won their first pistol round of the series, followed by the anti-ecos, to get the 12-6 lead over MOUZ, but a triple entry in a quad kill round by suNny kept his team in the match. The European side then brought it to 11-12, but Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas and Paweł "byali" Bieliński won a 2vs2 after plant in the 24th round to stay ahead.

Ultimately, it was MOUZ who took the match after culminating the comeback on the terrorist side of Train, earning themselves a spot in the final at ESG Mykonos s in the last round of the last map, closing it out 16-14.

That one round that they replayed was supposed to be for VP because after 2 replays the defense knows from where exactly and how many terrorists were coming and it was easier to hold.

Yeah that really sucked, marred an otherwise great comeback on T side we expected Liquid playing extremely high level finally, so without much CT synergy and in a BO5 mouz have a tough task. And oskar can't hit those shots EVERY GAME lol damn that was insane, he misses a bunch in a couple of rounds but when he starts playing like that its scary Z E W S G O D sorted Liquid out finally though ? I think they're gonna finally get a deserved reward for a long hard road. Good on them hope they can keep playing like that because it sets a good example. Who can point out FLAWS in their play ?? there was nothing to pick at, plenty of teams have a round here or there with a bad call or whiffs or just straight up DUMB shit. Couldn't believe it when FER made that smoke push what the fuck.. head in the game Fer bro :( disappointed so many people. Gotta move on from it though they can't look back just learn and move on, think about things more etc.. Go TL ! good year for the org, starting to come together in CS, won TI7, would assume their OW team is good too having got the rapha :) people can finally start being really proud of their CS team I think. FalleN how you not have a coach bruh :/ Liquid will prob never wanna let Zews go

mouz should ask for rollback every time they lose a round. if theres no tech issue, they should create it themselves. literally ugly and notorious match, how the fuck can vp agree to play that stupid clutch
